Hello! Welcome to the Artist and Staff search for Highland Pointers! I'm looking for some people who are excited about dog breeds and dog stuff who'd like to create some cute guys for the community! I'm also looking for an archivist to help with documenting dogs as they're made, and likely a moderator as well (though artist's can be both artist and moderator if interested! Mods would help with rolls for training classes and competitions while also helping keep a general eye on the forums and submissions to make sure people are in line with our rules!)
Previous experience in other UMAs is always a bonus but not required!! All staff must have Discord as that's where we will primarily communicate and plan/organize things! The species as a whole does not have a Discord yet, but I will be making one for staff, at minimum
Staff, overall, will receive a few things for working in the species:
- The ability to make their own personal customs (limits will apply, exact amounts TBD)
- The ability to make one personal breeding (1 per month)
- If C$ is involved in the purchase of breed-wide items, they will get a cut of those funds as long as they are active that month
Staff will also get to voice input on how the species is run, help determine genetic rarities (as I'm still hashing that out) and more!
Depending on interest both in staff positions and in the species, these may remain open for a while until I feel additional staff isn't needed anymore! (It may take me a week or two to reach out after an application is put in depending on irl stuff so don't fret if you don't hear back right away!)

- Artist Application Information -
If you're looking to apply to be an artist I'd like to see at least two examples of pups from you! I'd prefer one standard dog with simpler genetics, and one complex one (feel free to use the gene rarity guide to determine complexity)! The unique ones could have line edits, if you'd like.
Please reference the genetics guide, linked above, to reference what markings and colors are currently available! Shades and markings do not have to be perfect to the guide, it's just a general reference not a rulebook!
For your dog submissions, please include their phenotype and genotype! You may group your submissions under one picture (and then color-in under that) or have them be separate, should you like. Also make sure to leave the "FAKE" logo on the dogs please!! You can move the FAKE logo, however, should you want to. (If you'd like to make a litter of pups and show their aged forms as well, you're welcome to!) Artists have the ability to make adopts, customs, and litters. They can also take on paid customs/litters as long as they are active.
This species will be *entirely* on Oekaki so off-oekaki entries will not be considered! However, you're welcome to showcase your other artistic works through off-oekaki artwork and species!
(You will get to keep one of your artist app submissions as your own pup should you be selected to join the team! The other entries can be treated as adopts, or you can claim them later as part of your artist perks and make them official then.)
Please include the below form when you submit your artist app!

- Breeding Artist Application Information -
Breeding Artists cannot make customs/adopts on a full-time basis like Artists can. They still get to have personal customs/litters as perks of being an active team member and also make occasional adopts/customs, as well as be able to take on paid breedings, too.
In order to be a breeding artist you must have a good understanding of genetics. For your submission please make at least a two pup litter and have the parent genotypes listed as well as the pups pheno/genotypes. These two puppies must have their young form and adult form in your submission.
This species will be *entirely* on Oekaki so off-oekaki entries will not be considered! However, you're welcome to showcase your other artistic works through off-oekaki artwork and species!
You will get to keep one of your breeding artist app submissions as your own pup should you be selected to join the team!

- Moderator/Archivist Application Information -
For those looking to apply for moderator/archivist (or both!) your help is so greatly appreciated and necessary so it means a lot! You're welcome to put your application here in the thread or DM it to me, whichever you're more comfortable with!
