my ancient wacom when I dragged it out of retirement after 10+ years for this;

-
anyway I haven't done digital in YEARS (mainly because I find it hellishly difficult compared to traditional mediums), but 2025 is the year I've decided to finally get around to learning. I thought digitising a page from my sketchbook would be easy (it was not), but I locked in and finished it. Might clean it up a little tomorrow, but it's nearly 3am and I'm sleepy so I'm going to bed 😴
edit; woah a feature, that was a nice surprise to log in and see! little me scribbling on the oekaki back in 2012/13 would be ecstatic. also thank you for all the kind comments/likes!

This is really lovely. You don’t see many oekaki utilize styles like this, it’s extremely clean and pleasing to look at

Also that meme image jumpscared me, lol.
Thank you! (: I used to use oekaki a lot back in the day so I still vaguely remember how it works + I was fiddling around with this piece at the beginning to refamiliarise myself with all the features and figure out ways to work smarter rather than harder (ex. I started off drawing the panels freehand, but they looked super wonky so instead I coloured the whole canvas and then used the straight line tool to erase around where I wanted them to be.)
Also I seem to have misplaced the sketchbook it’s in, but I’ll have a look for it and upload the original when I find it!
edit; found it

THANK UU <333 it was initially looking a little boring with the flat colours so I blended in some green to give it a bit of ✨spice✨

Thank you! I started off trying to draw a few faces but they weren’t turning out quite right (transitioning to digital is a steeper learning curve than I anticipated), so I figured I’d do something that I usually find easier to draw to begin with ✌️

congratulations! I clicked follow so hopefully you do more ^^
I gave it a little pat to thank it for its service lmao. I didn’t realise it got featured at first so I was super confused when I saw all the new activity in my gallery! Thank you for the follow as well, there’s a few tutorials I want to try out and ideas I have so I hope to post something else soon! (:
