A mischievous breed found in the lush, fantastical wilds of the Scottish Highlands, Wyldglen Shetlands have taken on a magic all their own. In a time lost to human record, a wild group of moorish ponies gained the favor of the magical beasts that once dominated the verdant countryside. The magical beasts were charmed by the ponies’ mischievous antics, sociable nature, and savvy precocity and took a great fondness to them. In turn, three species of magical creatures bestowed a blessing upon the ponies: the fierce, indomitable dragons; the clever, bewitching faeries; and the adaptable, wiley kelpies. With the blessings from their magical companions, the foals of these original wild ponies began to sport extraordinary new adaptations as well as magic of their own, and thus the Wyldglen Shetland was born.

☘︎ --- Wyldglen Shetlands are a closed species, only approved artists may create adopts. You may not create your own (MYOs will not be offered) or breed WS adopts with other closed species adopts. Users will not be added to adopts won. Do not copy, steal, change, or trace any Wyldglen designs or lore.
☘︎ --- All community members must have an up to date adopt storage. You may store Wyldglen Shetlands offsite (sites such as ToyHouse, Wix, etc.) if proper credit is given to the line artist faentofheart and whichever species artist designed the adopt.
☘︎ --- You may not submit nursery tickets or purchase customs without a storage page. A storage page must include, at a minimum: a link to the original adopt page, up to date nursery slots, and family lineage if applicable.
☘︎ --- Wyldglen Shetlands are not associated with Kelso Shetlands and will be treated as an entirely separate closed species, any previous Kelso Shetland adopts or items are invalid. There will not be transfers of adopts.

❧ --- If you own any KSP adopts you may use them as you wish, however:
❧ --- You must still credit faentofheart for the lineart and the adopt artist for the design.
❧ --- You may not sell them for any type of profit.
❧ --- You may gift or trade them for free.
❧ --- You may trade them for other species adopts/nursery slots at your own risk.
☘︎ --- Do not attempt to mod/mini-mod if you are not the species admin or approved moderator. If you have issues with another community member or staff member you are welcome and encouraged to reach out to Pandora! via CS or Discord. Issues will be handled as discretely and equitably as possible.

☘︎ --- Wyldglen Shetlands may be gifted, traded, or sold.
☘︎ --- When transferring ownership of a Wyldglen Shetland, both the former and new owner must post on the adopt page AND trade registry to confirming the transfer. If both users do not post, ownership is not considered transferred.
☘︎ --- Free adopts are never to be sold or traded for any financial gain, whether that is c$, pets, or real currency. Free adopts may only ever be traded for other freely obtained Wyldglen Shetland, Wyldglen Shetland nursery slots, or other free adopts/slots (species rules permitting).
☘︎ --- Wyldglen Shetlands are only allowed to be sold for the price they were originally purchased, unless additional artwork has been commissioned (with proof of payment) and the two parties have agreed upon the new price.
☘︎ --- Wyldglen Shetlands may be sold/auctioned for c$, CS pets, other site currency (DeviantArt, FlightRising, etc.), or real world currency. Any discussion of real world currency must be taken off site as per CS rules.
☘︎ --- Wyldglen Shetlands may be traded for other Wyldglen Shetland adopts, Wyldglen Shetland nursery slots, other closed species adopts/slots (rules permitting), preexisting art such as OCs.
☘︎ --- If transferring a Wyldglen Shetlands with used or traded nursery slots, it is the former owner's responsibility to inform the new owner of slots used or traded to other users. The new owner must honor any traded slots, even if they have not been used yet, and they must reach out to the slot owners with new permissions to use the slot.

☘︎ --- In order to submit a nursery tickets, your Wyldglen Shetlands must be named and have an up to date storage page. A storage page must include at minimum:

i. a link to the original adopt page
ii. linage (parents, grandparents, etc.)
iii. up to date nursery slots, including links to offspring
☘︎ --- Any gender pairing may produce a foal.
☘︎ --- All Wyldglen Shetlands have a total of six nursery slots. Slots may be traded, any traded slots must be noted on the storage page. Please be sure to reference our species’ Trading Rules.
☘︎ --- Users must be in good community standing to submit a nursery ticket (ie. not on a temporary warning/activity ban).
☘︎ --- Custom line edits are not guaranteed to pass. Artists may pass custom edits at their discretion. Custom edits such as tack, accessories, body paint, etc. do not pass through breeding.

𝐁𝐋𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐃 𝐁𝐘 𝐌𝐀𝐆𝐈𝐂

𝐅𝐚𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬' 𝐁𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠
Wyldglen Shetlands that have inherited the Faeries’ Blessing sport a variety of different horns that allow them to channel their magic more proficiently. They are able to complete small feats of magic such as conjuring minor illusions, creating sensory effects such as taste or smell, or moving small objects through telekinesis. Each Wyldie is different and may have different magical strengths and weaknesses.

𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧𝐬’ 𝐁𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠
Wyldglen Shetlands that have inherited the Dragon’s Blessing have the uplifting gift of flight. Draconic wings are most common, but they are also frequently seen with avian or insectoid wings. Those with the Dragon’s Blessing also have the ability to manipulate the air around them, and are frequently capable of minor control over the weather.

𝐊𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐬’ 𝐁𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠
Wyldglen Shetlands that have inherited the Kelpie’s Blessing have grown so close to their amphibious patrons that they now sport aquatic appendages. Most commonly seen are variations of the freshwater fish and sharks that call the British Isles home. These Wyldies are also granted the ability to breathe under water allowing them to move freely between land and water. They are able to manipulate water through magic, and are even known to communicate with fish and other aquatic animals.

𝐎𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐮𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬
Due to their magical nature, Wyldglen Shetlands can be seen with many other mutations influenced by both the arcane and natural world around them. The native population of both deer and imps have had the biggest influence on their equine friends. These mutations do not offer the blessing trait advantages that fairy, dragon, or kelpie blessings do... but they sure are cute!

𝐄𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐓𝐇

☘︎ --- Wyldglen Shetlands may be born with Peter Pan Syndrome, aka "PPS." This means that these Wyldies will be forever foals, and will not grow into adults.
☘︎ --- PPS foals will not randomly occur in breedings. They are only available through the nursery using a rare item.
☘︎ --- PPS foals may participate in any WS activities just like their adult counterparts except they are not able to produce offspring.
☘︎ --- PPS foals may rarely occur as regular adopts, event adopts, or quest finds.

𝐂𝐎𝐀𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐘 𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐑𝐒

☘︎ --- Wyldglen Shetlands come in a variety of coat colors and patterns, no two are exactly alike, and may come in any color or design imaginable. There are some "breed markings" that may be repeated or up to artist interpretation.
☘︎ --- Coat design may draw from the natural (horses, dogs, deer, birds, fish, flowers, etc.) or the supernatural world (dragon, fairy, kelpie, kirin, folklore, etc.).
☘︎ --- WS will never be overly garish in color (ie. no sparkleponies, eyestrain colors) even with fantastical inspiration. All designs should be fit within the world of Wyldglen.
☘︎ --- Due to this, there are no designs or markings that are inherently more or less rare than another.

𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓

☘︎ --- Mischievous, sociable, boisterous, but fiercely loyal. Wyldglen Shetlands are known to befriend humans who offer them kindness, but play tricks on those that are cruel. Locals quickly learned it was impossible to pen or capture these ponies through force: locks would rust, lassos would unravel, domestic horses would buck and rear as they drew near. They hail from extremely hardy stock that knew decades of hard work and scare food availability on the harsh Shetland Islands. Wyldies have a strong connection with the world around them, both natural and supernatural. They safeguard the balance of nature and magic in their homeland above all else. Despite their generally jovial demeanor, they can be fierce adversaries in battle. A highly communal species, they often live in small herds that work collaboratively to meet the needs of every individual.
𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐒

☘︎ --- Originating from one of the strongest equine breeds relative to body size, the Wyldglen Shetland packs an impressive punch. They are compact and stocky with a powerful neck, back, and hindquarters. Bright, mischievous eyes and small, perky ears are just visible under a mane thick enough to protect them from the harsh climate of the Scottish Highlands. More diverse in height than their ancestors, Wyldglen Shetlands stand between 9hh-13hh (91cm-132cm). They come in all range of natural equine colors and patterns, in addition to magically influenced markings. They can have any color eye, and rarely have bilateral heterochromia.

☘︎ --- Warnings and bans may only be given by the species administrator or formally approved moderators.
☘︎ --- There is a zero tolerance policy for bullying, guilting, bribing, or poor behavior. Artists are volunteers largely making free art out of the goodness of their hearts in their spare time. Any of this behavior will be dealt with swiftly, resulting in a formal warning from the species owner.
☘︎ --- Users that receive a warning will be temporarily restricted from applying to adopts, submitting nursery tickets, or purchasing customs/auctions from the infraction date.

❧ --- 1st formal warning = 1 week temporary ban
❧ --- 2nd formal warning = 2 week temporary ban
❧ --- 3rd formal warning = 3 week temporary ban
☘︎ --- Three formal warnings will result in a permanent species ban. Extreme circumstances may result in an immediate ban. Bans are permanent and cannot be appealed.
☘︎ --- In the event of a species ban or site ban, all freely obtained Wyldglen Shetland adopts will be revoked and redistributed to the community with creating artists having first right of refusal. Paid adopts will not be revoked, but will be considered void and no longer associated with the species.
☘︎ --- Community members are encouraged to contact the species owner (Pandora!) if they have any issue with staff or other community members.
