Welcome to the enchanting world of Merakis-ARPG, where art and magic intertwine! We are an occult-inspired, genetics-based art-roleplaying game centered around reincarnated witches now taking the form of magical animals, namely canines and felines. As a group, we will be focused on character creation and customization, as well as artistic development through prompt-based art and literature challenges. We will also offer a plethora of activities and seasonal events; Explore daily for resources, hunt for Collectables, Craft potions and tools, tend to a garden at the Greenhouse, participate in Rites and Rituals, play with genetics and conjure new Merakis through Summoning, band together with your friends to create a Coven, battle against malevolent creatures in Warding, traverse the Realms, and more!

All of our information will be story on toyhouse, but we will run a version of the game on chickensmoothie as well!

♔ THE PROFICIENCY SYSTEM ♔

The Proficiency System is an achievement-based leveling system that encourages character development through many ✨magical ✨ art and literature prompts, as well as participation in other areas of the game. It is a worthwhile story-telling experience, with many items and rewards throughout!

There are four levels in the Proficiency System, referred to as Tiers: Novice, Apprentice, Adept, and Awakened. Each Tier has its own permissions and restrictions; some activities in the game are not readily available to Merakis of a lower Tier. Access to these areas will be unlocked as your Meraki advances through this system.

All of a Meraki's training through the Proficiency System must be tracked by Tier in their Grimoire; read more about them here.

NOVICE TIER
This Tier is about new beginnings and perseverance; practicing magic in a new, animal body can be difficult at first! Your Meraki may encounter new challenges as they relearn how to cast spells and brew potions on four legs. This is why all Merakis start as Novices, (unless Summoned by an Awakened Meraki); they must reacquaint themselves with their magical abilities!

xxxxx- raise five crops at the greenhouse
xxxxx- complete one quest

APPRENTICE TIER
This Tier is about reflection and growth. Through this tier, Merakis will delve deep into their minds, hearts, and souls, to discover how they are innately connected to magic, and how its chaos ebbs and flows throughout the universe.

*Summoned Apprentice Merakis have this and the previous Tier's permissions immediately available to them.
The Novice restrictions & requirements do not apply!

This Tier is about expansion and ego. Trouble tends to follow Adept Merakis; they are strong magic-wielders with a tendency to seek out challenges and adversity. They are always searching for new ways to push themselves ever-closer to Awakened, and are always hungry for knowledge.

An Awakened Meraki is a pillar of their community and a magical force to be reckoned with.
They frequently serve as guardians and council members, sages and healers;
the Awakened do everything they can to share their wisdom with others.
