you've been walking for moons on end now, your paws ache, your stomach growls- you're beginning to lose hope.
sighing deeply, you take a moment to sit and rest; unsure of how much longer you can keep moving forwards.
suddenly you can hear chattering and it sounds like it's coming from somewhere relatively close by, your ears
prick up and you haul yourself back onto your unsteady paws, starting in the direction of the noises. you come
upon a large clearing amongst the trees, the ground is littered with brilliant orange and red hues and most importantly-
there's others here. cats sunning themselves, grooming each other- kits playing and squealing. a strange feeling of
belonging washes over you- a feeling of being home. a large and slim tomcat pads over to you, "welcome, stranger"
he mewls, "welcome to our camp- you look a little worse for wear, why don't you grab yourself
something from the fresh kill pile and tell me how you've come to be here?" you nod and smile warmly, picking a plump vole
from the ground and following the tom to his den.

you tell him of your travels, how it's been so long since you saw a friendly face- all of it. He nods along with understanding, pausing for a good few moments before breaking his silence, "why don't you stay here, join or form a clan? here we look out for each other, you'd never have to struggle the way you have been again." you find yourself practically vibrating with excitement, blurting out a firm "yes!"
