Breed Information:

European Quarter Horses (EQH) are distinct from their American brethren. They have been mixed with traditional eventing breeds such as the Irish Sport Horse, Selle Francais and Thoroughbred to create a versatile horse that can still lope with speed and agility but has the conformation required for English style riding such as eventing. It is more collected then its ancestors, with a thicker neck and stronger legs but had still maintained the traditional head and cheek shape and rump. They stand between 14.3hh to 17hh.

To compliment their versatility a saddle and bridle inspired by bareback and equitation tack was created. It has the comfort of a western saddle but the connection to the horse provided by English tack. You will only ever see them ridden bitless or in a snaffle bit as they are exceptionally responsive so do not require harsh bits.

Adoptions can be found here

Any horse with a background and 'adopt me' on it is available to adopt.
These are free and are given out in a variety of ways including raffles, art contests, quizzes and challenges. The adoption page for the specific horse will tell you what you need to do and have the form for you to complete.
These come with a short backstory that can be changed to justify why they are looking for a new home.

Imports

Imports are open!

Imports are created just for you but will require payment. The full schedule can be found below. Just complete the attached form and send a trade with payment. The payment will not be taken until the EQH has been created.

If you have a specific idea in mind and are comfortable drawing this then feel free to send a sketch over and I will recreate it as best as I can!

Base fee: 20CS$ (includes any common/uncommon white markings)
Rare white marking: + 5CS$ on top of base fee
Dilutes/Extra white markings (common): +2CS$ each
Dilutes/Extra white markings (uncommon): +5CS$ each
Dilutes/Extra white markings (rare): +10CS$ each

Sales/Trades
European Quarter Horses can be sold, traded and gifted to other players, even if they didn't own one before.
To confirm the sale/trade the original owner needs to post on the adoption page of the horse confirming the name of the new owner and linking to their profile.
EQH can only be sold and traded within CS and in line with CS rules.

Colours and Markings

White Markings:
EQH always have some form of paint marking, it may be hidden but the genetics are always there. This includes:

• Sabino (uncommon)
• Tobiano (common)
• Overo (common)
• Tovero (common)
• Splash (uncommon)
• Rabicano (rare)
• Appaloosa - Fewspot, Leopard, Blanket, snowcap, snowflake, varnish (extremely rare) Guide used for genetics
• Invert - Makes the white areas the base coat (eg. a black horse with a star and 4 white legs with invert would have black legs and star and white body) (rare) (gene: nInv or InvInv)
• Skeleton Sabino - Sabino markings that manifest as skeleton, either regular or reverse (extremely rare) (gene: nSkl or SklSkl)
• Rose Overo - Overo markings that resemble roses and occasionally other flowers, needs an overo gene to display if not horse is just a carrier. (extremely rare) (gene: nRs or RsRs)

Base coats:

• Black (common)
• Bay - Wild, Classic, Seal, Dark, Blood, Light (common)
• Chestnut - Regular, liver (common)

Dilutions:

• Cream - (common) Single (Palomino, buckskin, sooty black) and double (cremello, smoky cream, perlino)
• Pearl
• Champagne - (rare) Single and double (Sable, golden, amber, classic)
• Sooty - (rare) Single and double
• Roan (rare) - Blue, strawberry, bay
• Silver - (uncommon) Silver black, silvery bay
• Flaxen - (uncommon) Flaxen chestnut
• Grey - (common) Dapple, fleabitten, steel, light
• Dun - (uncommon) Red, Bay, Grullo
• White (extremely rare)
• Charcoal - (extremely rare) A horse with charcoal will display white markings as black or bay
• Pangare/Mealy (extremely rare) (gene: nPa or PaPa)

Non-Genetic Features:

• Gulstra Plume - Makes the tail white (rare)
• Birdcatcher spots - Random white spots (uncommon)
• Bend'or spots - Dark spots on the coat, typically seen on lighter coats (extremely rare)
• Somatic - Causes darker markings, typically black, on the body (extremely rare)

Community Horses

Community Horses are EQHs that are not owned by a single person. They have unlimited breeding slots and a breeding slot with them can be obtained through events or as gifts. They can be bred to player owned horses.
Some community horses have EQH specific genes, or just have a combination of genes to allow for a range of foals and colours.
