This is my boy's most common human form (though as shapeshifters some of his form is malleable!) Kett did an incredible job taking my minimal information and turning it into such a stunning portrait! It's a shame he's such a loner and that anyone who looks upon his face gets unexplainably terrified - no one to appreciate his handsomeness ;-;

Ahhh you flatter me, thank you so much! Fables have helped me regain confidence in my writing skills, and helped me strengthen some cognitive stuff along the way. I'm truly so thankful to be able to be part of this community, and have the chance to enjoy everyone's creative projects too! This is my first closed species community i've been a part of and i'm truly loving every second of it Fables have come to mean so much to me!

Timor is one of my favorite Fables, and this art is so amazing!! Kett did a wonderful job, I love his expression here. Even if no one in-universe can get close enough to appreciate, I can from out here x] ♥

I'm gunna have to sleep on it tbh, or think of more names to have up on the board Names are always the part I dread most of character development!! There are a couple OCs of mine I still haven't named, but have lots of lore for >__> But i'm just a natural procrastinator on top of things.

Your fables are so soft, and I love how you drew them!! I love the happy Nikolaos prance and the shy Danis slink. Such a wonderful scene!

Thank you!! As I was cooking dinner I had the same thought, that the Hound is all he remembers but his true name, too, has been lost to time. Great minds think alike B) I can't wait to see what you cook up for your backstories!!

@messmer I was so moved by your writing, I went digging. I found your entry for Wonder. Can I just say, your writing gave me chills. I couldn't believe the creativity. How you wove the intangible with the physical?? And when she laid down with the bear T.T cryyyy. So good. Count me as an admirer. I will be watching your posts like a hawk from now on. If you offer more writing I must be one of the first to read it!


In other news, I am storyboarding the scenes for my winter ball story. There are now 16 characters to work in ;.; your patience is appreciated <3 and know that it will all be worth it once I write the thing.

Starting to get rough stories down for Sanni and Taejin. They are both open to friends/enemies! I don't mind deviating from canon backstory. Taejin spent some time meandering so very easy for him to have spent time with others.

Taejin

Some natural disaster separated him from his home (maybe earthquake + tsunami) and he ended up alone. Already well trained in fighting and the ways of the war, but now without a home. Has some adventures with random bands of Fables throughout the land. Ends up in the mountains Herd Cindara call home. A bit desperate for new pelts to keep warm - spots puma tracks and decides to hunt it down. He ends up taking a bit of a tumble down the mountain and my other fable, Sanni, finds him while she's out gathering herbs. She takes him back to camp, patches him up, etc, etc. Taejin quite fascinated by Cindara's harmony with fire and learns the ways of their warriors. Begins "escorting" Sanni on her herb gathering as an excuse to spend time with her. Ends up teaching her how to fight, especially defend herself.

The puma from earlier is actually the creature that protects Cindara from outside threats and goes by the name Brighida. Also capable of giving blessings to the Fables under her care, and will give the gift of flame to the best warriors. She ends up blessing Taejin with this power.

Sanni

Native to Herd Cindara. Relatively normal formative years, playing with her sister, learning the ways of the healers, and beginning to channel her own light magic. Began inventing many new methods for the healer's guild and eternally curious about the way the body and mind work together. However, Sanni lost her younger sister (a warrior) who fell in a battle not too long ago. In her grief, she lost herself and her connection to healing/light magic. Still very knowledgeable so continues working with the healers, doing what she can, gathering and tending herbs mostly.
When Taejin begins teaching her how to fight, Sanni becomes grounded in herself again and finds her way back to her power.
