Maple's Adopts

Hi all! Welcome to my adopt thread, where you will find a ton of cats (and one day I may expand to do more than cats, but for now it'll all be different types of cats). Please read this post for important information for adopting from me, such as my rules and adopt tracker.

1. Please credit me by linking to this thread or my CS profile. If uploading to Toyhouse, I am also MapleDoodle on there for credit.

3. Do not edit the images (including removing the signature) of adopts from my thread.
4. To trade/give away adopts from this thread, you must follow the directions from the Trade post or contact MapleDoodle for assistance.
5. Follow the additional rules/directions provided for each separate section of the thread (free adopts, paid adopts, customs, etc.).
6. Treat everyone in this thread kindly and with respect. This includes, but is not limited to: not guilt tripping if you don't get an adopt you want, not pestering others to trade you an adopt you want, not rushing for new adopts, etc.

Free Adopts

Here you can get first come first serve (FCFS) or free raffle adopts. For each batch, any user is limited to one free adopt. This means if a user gets a FCFS adopt in a batch, they cannot also get a free raffle adopt in that same batch. If a user wants more than one adopt from a single batch, they can consider purchasing another adopt from the Paid Adopt section.

FCFS Adopts

• The first user to post a form for a FCFS adopt will obtain ownership of that adopt.
• Those who get a FCFS from a batch cannot also get a raffle adopt from the batch.
• Users may only get one FCFS adopt per batch.

Free Raffle Adopts

• Users may enter into a raffle to win a free adopt.
• Those who get a FCFS from a batch are unable to win a free raffle adopt.
• Users may enter for as many raffle adopts as they wish, but may only win one free raffle adopt per batch.

Paid Adopts

Here you can buy adopts from a flat sale, paid raffle, or an auction. For each batch, any user is limited to one paid adopt from each payment type. This means a user can get up to one flat sale, one paid raffle, and one auction adopt from the same batch. Please note that depending on the size of a batch, batches may not have all three types of paid adopts.

Prices are provided within the instructions/rules for each paid adopt type and are subject to change as time goes on. Accepted payment includes:

• Cats/Lions on MapleDoodle's Wishlist (for the purposes of this thread, C$ value of these pets based upon rarity/age is provided below, loosely based on Solloby's Chart).

*Note* I have only provided values up to about 20 C$, assuming that users will not be paying any more than ~20 C$ in a single sitting (except possibly in an auction). If a cat/lion you want to offer does not fall under the below classifications, then we will go based on Solloby's Chart using the midpoint of the range.

Due to the paid nature for these adopts, images will be directly DMed to owners at the time of purchase on top of being included in the batch's code drop once all adopts in the batch are sold/adopted. If you prefer not to receive a DM with the image and only want to receive your pet's image from the codedrop, please respond "no" to the appropriate field in the forms.

Flat Sale

• The first user to post a form and send payment for a flat sale adopt will obtain ownership of that adopt.
• If a user posts a form but does not send payment, the flat sale adopt remains open for whoever sends payment first.
• Users may only get one flat sale adopt per batch, but are still eligible to participate in paid raffles and auctions.

Cost: 5 C$ (or the equivalent in wishlist cats/lions)

Paid Raffle Adopts

• Users may pay to enter into a raffle to win a paid raffle adopt.
• Users may enter as many raffle adopts as they wish, but may only win one paid raffle per batch.
• Each ticket can only be applied to one adopt; to enter multiple raffles, you must buy at least 1 ticket per each raffle.
• Tickets are tracked under the Active Raffles tab of the adopt tracker.

Cost: 1 C$ per ticket (or the equivalent in wishlist cats/lions)

Auction Adopts

• Users may bid in an auction, where the highest bidder wins the auction adopt.
• There will only ever be a maximum of one auction at a time.
• Auction adopts typically have unique/special traits compared to others in its batch.
• When an auction is running, the current winning bid will be provided under the auction pet for reference.
• Sending a bid means you commit to paying that price should you be the winning offer, and you shall not cancel your offer.
• However, if the winning bid's trade offer is canceled before acceptance, the user with the next-highest bid will win the adopt instead.

Cost: bids may contain C$ offers, wishlist cat/lion offers, or a mix of both C$ and wishlist cats and lions.

This auction's starting bid is X C$, so the initial bid must be equal to or higher than X C$. The auction will run through X/XX (ending at rollover from the X to the X).

Customs

Here users will be able to order custom versions of the adopt species sold here. Orders may only be placed when slots are available, and pricing will vary based on the complexity of the custom order. Customs can be as simple as a recolor of an already-made pattern on an already existing base, or as complex as a brand-new design on a brand-new base edit.

All customs start out at a base price and have additional charges added based on the request.

Order Slots

• When slots are available, users are permitted to one order custom at a time.
• Users must provide images or hex codes for requested colors in customs.
• MapleDoodle will confirm the classification + price upon accepting the order.
• Payment shall be sent after MapleDoodle's confirmation providing the price; trades shall be sent as an offer, not an edit.
• Trades will not be accepted until MapleDoodle has completed the custom, but work will not begin until the trade is sent.

Trading or Relinquishing

Here users will be able to trade their adopts with other users or relinquish ownership of their adopts. When someone relinquishes ownership of their adopt, that adopt becomes available for others to adopt for free.

Trading Adopts

For now, users may advertise adopts they would like to trade in this thread. A separate thread may be made at a later time for finding trade partners.


Trades can only be for other adopts from this thread (or for nothing if you would like to send pets to someone specific for free). This means you cannot sell adopts for C$ or pets, only swap for other adopts from this thread.


Once users have found a trade partner and worked out their deal, both users involved in the thread must use the provided form. Trades will not be finalized if only one party fills out the form.

Relinquishing Adopts

Relinquishing adopts is permanent. Only fill out the form to relinquish adopts which you are certain you no longer want.


Users do not receive anything in return for relinquishing adopts.


Any relinquished adopts will be provided below for users to enter into a raffle-style giveaway to earn for free.


• If there are multiple relinquished adopts at a time, each user may only earn one per batch.

Strike/Ban Procedures

I operate on a three-strike process for minor infractions. If someone breaks the rules in a minor way, such as by being rude to others, I will give them a warning and remind them to read and follow all rules. Continuing to break the rules after this point will result in a strike. In some cases, if the infraction is more serious, a strike may be given immediately instead of a warning. After three strikes, users will receive a temporary ban. Repeated poor behavior/rulebreaks may lead to permanent bans.

Major infractions, such as claiming the art as your own or copying my adopt bases (art theft), can result in an immediate permanent ban.

Users who have been permanently banned are not able to obtain any future adopts from this thread. If a permanently banned user wishes to they may still relinquish their adopts for others, but this is ultimately their own choice and they may choose to keep any adopts they'd already obtained if they wish to hold onto them.

Warnings, strikes, and bans will never be publicly displayed. This information will be kept private and will be communicated to the user receiving the warning/strike/ban through private messages.

If you suspect someone is breaking the rules, please send a private message to MapleDoodle rather than posting publicly.
