Welcome welcome to the opening event of the Aureai Species!!
I'm SO excited to be officially launching this project that's been MONTHS in the making. With help from the AMAZING JK341, I present... The Aureai!

"We've been telling this tale to our kits for moons now. How we were once the guardians of this magnificent and powerful tree. The Twilight Oak. It blessed us with amazing abilities and in turn, we were tasked with protecting it and the surrounding biomes. It was unknown how the tree came to be, but there are whispers that it is a piece of the spirit of Mother Nature herself. And that she entrusted some of her great power to us— the Aureai. With long tails that flow in the wind and eyes that glitter like the diamonds of the night sky, we watch over this land and protect it with our lives. We built our homes around the Twilight Oak and raised our kits with love and light to continue our extraordinary calling.

◈ This is an RPG style opening event that is optional to participate in.
◈ The goal is to collect items from different Biomes, which you can then take to Ukyra's Marketplace to trade in for Trait Tokens, Breeding Tokens and more!
◈ If you prefer not to participate in the opening event, you are always welcome to buy Trait Tokens to create a MYO or request a Custom outright. There will also be various raffles and auctions for premade adoptables. View payment options in more detail at The Shop.
◈ Trading in items will also help progress the story, which in turn will bring more fun surprises yet to come!
◈ Each Biome has unique items that will be randomly dropped, which players can collect and store to use whenever they'd like. Visit Ukyra's Marketplace to see the different recipes!
◈ Story progress can be tracked by visiting The Twilight Oak. It will be updated frequently depending on how often players trade in items!

All collectible items from ALL Biomes become void, free custom designs are revoked per Artist decision, and paid customs may also be revoked on a case by case basis. Players on this list are banned from anything Aureai and those caught still trying to use species lines or copy them or any of my lore in any way shape or form will be prosecuted for Art Theft and will be subject to punishment from CS staff.

"Hello friends. I know you are confused... those that are left of us are overwhelmed and grief-stricken, and it seems our lives and our hearts will never be whole. But I assure you it will not be this way forever. We have protected the Twilight Oak for a millennia. It is our duty and our calling to fight through this and rebuild our home. We will fortify our land and rise from the ashes of this attack. Yes there is much to do and it may seem hopeless now. But, Mother Nature willing, this will again become the great sanctuary it once was..."

◈ Our home is in ruins. The fear in our hearts still feels icy cold since the time... they came. Horrible creatures with fangs so huge, they could rip entire chunks of the earth up. A war we never imagined having to fight was suddenly upon us without warning. The Aureai, all of us, desperate to defend our home and loved ones, drew every bit of strength we could from the Twilight Oak. But the creatures' powers were too great. Our families were all but slaughtered mercilessly. If any survived, they were scattered, fleeing our home and everything we love in fear of their lives. Nobody has been seen in almost a moon.
I vow to one day take the fight back to them, and make those monsters wish they had never set foot in our land.

◈ I bring wonderful news my friends. A search party has brought home some of our missing loved ones! And with them, they have brought valuable information. How to beat the monsters and get our home back! But first, we must be sure we are ready for what's to come. Patience my friends... I know we have lost so much of what we love most in this world. And I mourn with you who have not had loved ones found. But we must press forward, onward with faith...

◈ I thank each of you for your diligence and hard work in rebuilding our home and land. Now, more than ever, we must stand strong and unwavering if we are to secure a future for the next generation.
With that, I tentatively announce that the final battle for our home draws near. Scouts have spotted the Twoleggeds gathering in the far east, near Juniper Highlands. Though this war approaches faster than we are prepared for, we must find a way to be ready.
For the sake of our kits and all who dwell in the Biomes surrounding the Twilight Oak, we must not fail! They depend on us. We swore to protect this land, and we will uphold that vow if it takes every last one of us to do it.
Friends, may Mother Earth watch over us and bless us with the strength we need.

◈ This is a CLOSED species. Designs may NOT be moved on and off this species without written permission.
◈ All Aureai MUST have these traits to be classified as an Aureai:

— Long ears
— Long tail
— Diamond-shaped pupil
— Horns of some kind
— Small nose(doesn't apply to muzzle length)
— Ear tuft of some kind
— Thin legs
— No distinct toe lines
— Neck mane
— Long cheek fluff
— A glow that goes around the entire body.

◈ Credit MUST be given for lines and design whether taken offsite or not.
JK341 for lines and appropriate artist for design. (You are welcome to credit me via my CS account, but I prefer my Toyhou.se.)
◈ The Aureai logo may NOT be removed. You can resize or move it however you wish but it MUST be visible somewhere!
◈ Accessories are allowed without needing to ask permission UNLESS it covers more than 30% of the design.
◈ Every participant for the opening event MUST have a storage thread posted somewhere that is easy to link. This is needed to keep track of collectible item drops as well as when trade-ins are made to Ukyra's Marketplace.
◈ Aureai MAY be sold IF it is not for more than was paid (unless more has been added to increase value), and the buyer has agreed to ALL species guidelines.
◈ Aureai may be traded, as long and there is WRITTEN proof of the agreement by both parties.
◈ Aureai designs may NOT be inappropriate in nature with design or use for ANY reason. They must comply with CS rules regardless of your personal opinion. My Aureai are meant to be a cute species with a Trait guide designed to produce creativity in users.
◈ I reserve the right to revoke ANY design for any reason if Species Guidelines are not followed or are being used in an inappropriate manner.
◈ I reserve the right to deny ANY MYO design if I feel it violates Species Guidelines or is inappropriate, overly graphic or suggestive in nature.
◈ Harassing Artists to complete customs is NEVER allowed, and I reserve the right to ban anybody breaking this rule and redact ALL designs. IT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
◈ Breeding of Aureai across species is NOT allowed. Breeding between 2 Aureai MUST have written approval by me and me alone.
◈ Species rules will ALWAYS apply regardless of how you obtained your Aureai, including through raffles.

Aureai are meant to be a cute species inspired by the old game from my childhood, Fer.al. It is not meant to be overly graphic or violent in appearance at all and may not include any of the follow traits...

◈ Aggressive or threatening expressions
◈ Extreme amounts of teeth/excessively sharp teeth
◈ Excessively sharp body growths/horns
◈ Skeleton-like limbs/body parts
◈ Anything suggestive/sexual or inappropriate
◈ Bloody or graphic
◈ Stitches/staples/seams (excludes plushie style designs, but must not be graphic or disturbing looking)
◈ Zombification/anything that can be classified as a corpse
◈ Open wounds or injuries (excludes scars)
◈ Holes in body parts/chunks of flesh missing
◈ Extreme amount of bodily piercings
◈ Creepy/violent designs referencing any violent characters in media or books.

If you are unsure about your Aureai please reach out to me before posting anything publicly. This list includes ALL Aureai, offsite or on. If I catch anyone altering designs offsite to include any of these traits, you will receive only ONE warning before being permanently banned from the Species.
