I’m working on some scarves again for this Christmas 2024 but I don’t have any ideas, so I’m opening up suggestions!
Rules:

• Post once only
• The animal base is not confirmed
• Suggestions will be randomly selected
• You may suggest multiple palettes but if you are selected only one will be used
• I'll be pulling suggestions only from now until 15 Nov

Q: How many colours/ how much details is allowed?
A: I'll do what I can to match the suggestion, but it will not be exact.

Q: Can we use pictures for suggestion?
A: Yes, generic pictures/collages recommended.

Q: Can we draw our suggestion? / Can I suggest a design from an existing/licensed/my own character? / Will we be credited?
A: Please treat this thread like the pet/item suggestion thread. Also, the Do Not also includes your own character due to potential design ownership issues.

• draw out your ideas as you are limiting our artists in what they can create. They will not recreate something you have already drawn.
• suggest copyrighted material. This usually includes characters or unique things from TV Shows, games, books, etc.

I have little knowledge about what scarves already exist but here are a few ideas!
-first I 100% of the time like the super thick scarves over any little scarves. I like those chunky comfy warm scarves.
-Scarves based on popular designs from this year/years prior? This is a common theme during Christmas anyways, why not scarves!
-Scarves based off of Santa’s reindeer!
-controversial opinion but…more generic winter themed shtuff rather than Christmas specific? We have sooo many Christmas items. Lil wintery forest scarves, or hot cocoa, or aurora borealis? Pinecones? Ice? Like…non-gaudy stuff? I guess?

I would LOVE to see a pastel fade of orange to green to a tannish cream.

Green/red with poinsettia

Dark coloured with constellations

Scarves that look like animals - like these or these

I did look through all my scarf items to see that there weren't anything exactly like it but some of these might still exist, or do already exist, but then they are very old and it doesn't hurt to have more of some designs in my opinion.

I love traditional colors like green/red and blue/white. I think white with metallic colors would be awesome - silver, gold, red, green, blues, purples.

I also love animals on scarfs, like polar bears and penguins and deer and especially birds!

Holiday/winter scenes on the scarfs would be great, too. Maybe old fashioned scenes like a horse drawn carriage or a snowy cabin in a forest or something like that.

Solid color scarves but with multi-colored fringes at the end. Or mostly solid with minor hints of other colors.

I'd like to see traditional holiday colors like:

Like a white scarf with blue and gold
A red one with green and white
Green with white and yellow/gold
Yellow with red and green

Just to name a few

I am loving confetti patterns. That is a solid base: navy, black, cream, white, burgandy/wine, emerald but with flecks of rainbow color dots throughout. You can Google confetti sweater/scarves to see what I mean.

I love the big old chunky scarves like 2013 Christmas or 2022 Christmas (flannel)

Scarves with initials on them? It's a popular Christmas gift to have monogrammed winter wear.

Scarves that have a clear knit pattern. A lot of cs scarf items are solid fabric draped around the neck. What about honeycomb patterns or cable knit. Some texture. Shake it up c:

I would *LOVE* to see a more neon pallette to figuratively bring some life into an otherwise snowy world, and maybe they could be loosely based on 60's wallpapers? 👀

I would love to see some more neutral color scarves because they go with most any pet color. Or pastel inspired scarves with these sorts of colors! I also really like 'dark winter' colors like the bottom right. They are quite detailed but I think the patterns could be simplified down to a few of the colors instead of all of them. I really love how long and chunky they are too. I prefer these types of scarves instead of themed ones because its always nice to have an accessory to match different outfits year round. I also agree with BlueEyedKite on the texture aspect of scarves on cs. I think its a great idea to do knit texture!
