Maasai Brindle || Brindled Miniature Gypsies

for use with Brindled Miniature Gypsies as reference.

(White used for ease of reference)

Maasai Brindle (+M)

Almost always shown as a darker verson of the base coat. Maasai always shows on the base layer and under markings, even under modifiers such as sooty.

Dilutes effect the brindle color as they would the base.

Maasai always starts from the legs and moves upwards over the body. If the genetic code of the horse is listed as nM+, maasai shows as more spotty (reference image 1). Maasai when listed as dominant (M+M+) shows in a more elongated stripe pattern.

Ears are always darkened to the brindle color.

Dun does not show with Maasai like normal, the only indicator of dun on a BMG is a dorsal stripe and sometimes eyeliner
