everyone to mark on the first 16 pages will receive one (1) free unlimited uncommon myo.

kyons are a tall, slim species. they have horse-like ears, long, tall bodies and tails, and slim features. they are similar to unicorns and racing dogs / sight hounds. they currently have no set in stone lore, but even if this changes, please feel free to disregard the "canon" lore and come up with your own! this species is meant to be lighthearted, fun, and accessible to all.

kyons must retain the following to classify as a kyon:
⟡ slender bodies and legs.
⟡ while munchkinism is allowed, please do not make them extremely short. kyons are meant to be tall and ethereal. a safe bet would be making them about as tall as a medium dog breed for munchkinism, as typically they are the height of somewhere between a large dog and horse. if you are uncertain of height for this, please message me or a staff member, and we'd be more than happy to help you.
⟡ typically, long tails and a long horn(s). you may shorten one of these, but not the other. so if you shorten the tail, the horn must remain long, and vise versa.

there will be no exception to kyons being any shorter than a medium sized dog and they must remain slender. this is because they are based on racing dogs/sight hounds, which are slender. there is no ill intent behind this, but i have been considering reworking the species a bit and this will likely change.

kyon general rules
⟡ follow all cs rules.
⟡ no guilt-tripping/begging.
⟡ if you'd like to make a custom lined kyon, please check that it meets the proportions needed. a custom lined kyon not following the set proportions will not be approved.
⟡ there is no limit on how many kyons a user may adopt each month.
⟡ please note that when entering an art comp, your art may be used by the winner of that kyon. add proper credit of where to credit you.
⟡ do NOT use ai for any entries under any adopts, whether it be written or art. we will find out and you will be disqualified.

trading rules

kyon trading
kyons may be traded for other kyons, items pertaining to kyons bought in the shop, and art.

kyon selling
kyons may only be sold if it meets one of the following criteria:
⟡ the kyon was originally a paid adopt from an official staff member. if the only art you have is the official ref sheet, you cannot exceed the amount you bought it for when selling.
⟡ you've acquired additional art with clear values. free/gift art does not count, especially those you get from comps.
kyons based on copywritten characters CANNOT be sold.

item trading
items may not be sold, only traded for other kyon content or art.

if you have any questions about the rules, please feel free to reach out to me or another staff member.

we follow a three strike system; failure to abide by the rules will earn you a strike. on the final strike, you will be banned from kyons/the discord/etc. your kyons will remain yours, though they will no longer be considered "real" kyons, and you may not participate in anything to do with kyons.

guidelines for artists:
⟡ there is no set amount of kyons you need to create each week/month. please do not feel pressured to pump out adopts.
⟡ you are allowed to make paid and free adopts. please keep it a majority of free adopts, however. paid adopts can be for any cs allowed currency.
⟡ on the above note, please run paid adopts by me first. this is to ensure we don't have large streaks of paid adopts by multiple artists.
⟡ you are allowed to make common - rare adopts as you please. just make sure it is more common + uncommon than rare. if you are interested in making a legendary, just double check with me please. <3
⟡ for milestone adopts, please check with me first if you plan on making one. i do not mind staff making them, i just do not want them to be basically legendaries behind a paywall.

guidelines for moderators:
⟡ you do not need to moderate the threads, adopts, or discord 24/7. i acknowledge that you are human, please don't stress yourself out over silly little unicorn dogs.
⟡ if you're going to be mia for weeks at a time, please just give me a heads up! no worries.
⟡ if you see something upsetting you from an external source about kyons or the way kyons are run/moderated, please consult me first. i do not want staff replying in haste to these things, if even at all. i would like for moderation to remain professional, helpful, and approachable.

this traits list is a heavy wip. please feel free to suggest traits.

having at least one (1) gem is a mandatory trait, unless you are making a legendary kyon.
there are no limitations on colors and markings.

nr: artist lines, expressions, gem shape (gems can be quite literally any shape! even non-gem shapes.), eye edits

common traits: fur edits, hair edits, tail edits, ear edits, one gem anywhere on the body, one long horn.

uncommon traits: two horns, one split horn, shorter horns, glow, small wings, halos, hooves, small fangs, plant growth, spikes/spines, small powers (water, fire, ice, etc.)

rare traits: 3+ horns, 1-2 sets of large wings, 2-3 sets of small wings, feet other than paws/hooves, 3+ eyes, one large eye (like a cyclops), crystal growth, munchkinism, additional limbs, missing limbs, horns/antlers that don't align with unicorns, 2+ gems anywhere on the body, large powers.

legendary traits: 3+ sets of large wings, 4+ sets of small wings, transparent body parts, exposed bone, no gem, robotic body parts, living limbs
