The Nord Cavall is a docile, friendly breed of horse heralding from the northern parts of Iberia. Though an old breed, it only began to grow in popularity worldwide after it's rising appearance in shows. Originally serving as a cart-pulling horse for market, or mounts in times of war, Cavalls are now known for their excellence in areas such as dressage, driving, and leisure riding. Like many other light Iberians, the Nord Cavall is a baroque horse: agile, but strong in body. For centuries, Cavalls have been seen to have cropped manes for various reasons.

After a near extinction of the breed, Nord Cavalls made a comeback thanks to a handful of dutiful conservation groups. In the process they introduced various breeds such as the baroque style Knabstrupper, the Groningen, and a few sport Warmblood breeds. This allowed for a wider variety of coat colors and markings to appear within the Cavalls, while keeping the original baroque traits it was known for.

• please be kind and respectful to staff and other users. we have a zero tolerance for bullying, guilt-tripping, and bribery. depending on the severity, a warning or ban from the species will be issued.

• nord cavalls are a closed species. you may not make your own under any circumstance.

• there is no limit to how many cavalls you can own at this time.

• offsite storage, like toyhou.se and weebly, is allowed with proper credit such as a link back to the main species thread. deviantart storage is not allowed.

• v1 and v2 nord cavalls are not able to be transferred at this time. this may be subject to change.

• custom nord cavalls may be sold for the price they were paid for. all usd sales must be discussed offsite per cs rules. prices may vary per each individual artist and users are expected to abide by their individual rules as well as our general rules. in the event artwork has been made of the cavall, pricing can be adjusted.

• freely obtained cavalls such as adopts, breedings, giveaways, and event cavalls cannot be sold for any form of currency, including in-game pets and items; however, they may be traded for other freely obtained cavalls.

• when transferring ownership of nord cavalls, the former owner must post on our archive update thread and both parties involved must post on the cavalls page. a transfer of ownership is not considered complete until both are done.

• in the event of a user leaving cs, nord cavalls may be kept but cannot be sold offsite.

• in the event of a site or species ban, any owned cavalls from v3 will be revoked and put up for adoption via raffle.

• all nord cavalls have 10 breeding slots. extra slots will be available for purchase through the item shop with a maximum of 15 slots total per cavall.

• v1 and v2 cavalls may not be bred at this time.

• a storage thread must be made and up to date to request breedings.

• all cavalls must be named, have a halter, and be fully up to date in a storage thread in order to be bred.

• breedings involving 2 mares or 2 stallions may be done. this is only if the breeding artist allows.

• you can geld stallions and spay mares. these cavalls will retain 1 breeding slot and additional slot purchases will not apply.

• if using another users cavall in a breeding, you must show a screenshot of the permission(s) granted in your breeding form.

• foals grow 2 weeks (14 days) from their post date. foals may be auto-grown but will not be able to breed until 2 weeks (14 days) from their post date. please contact ghost queen. directly via onsite pm or discord in the event a growth has not been completed after 30+ days.

• users are limited to 4 breedings a month. this may be subject to change.

• artists are encouraged to have breedings completed by other artists. all breeding rolls must be completed by another staff member if applicable.

• purchased items cannot pass to foals. edits pass at artist discretion.

• artists are encouraged to make a minimum 3 adopts each month. this is subject to change when the number of active artists increases.

• artists may not make customs or breedings until they have been active for at least 15 days and have made a minimum of 5 adopts.

• artists are allowed 1 personal custom a month. these do not roll over into the following month(s).

• artists are encouraged to have an understanding of equine and species specific genetics. questions are always welcome, but we encourage you to utilize this cool thread we've made!

• please refer to the rarity list when making adopts and keep rarer colors/markings less common.

• pricing is up to artist discretion, however price gouging is highly discouraged and it is highly recommended to offer different payment options, ie usd and c$ or c$ and pets/items.

- Mares: 14.2-15.3 hh
- Stallions: 15.0-16.1 hh

Eyes:
- Common: brown, hazel, green, blue
- Uncommon: unnatural (ie red)
- Rare: sectoral heterochromia

Sex:
- Mare, sterile mare, stallion, gelding
- You may geld a stallion and spay a mare, they will retain 1 breeding slot but cannot have additional ones purchased.

- ability to create and maintain off-site archive & user item inventory via google sheets highly preferred
