𝓑eing magical creatures, acanthelle breeding is very unique to the rest of the natural world. The parents may be any gender, and since gestation is short, they have no cooldowns. The process is still taxing on their magic, however, and acanthelle therefore cannot sustain unlimited foals.
𝓕oals don't appear to adhere to any scientific genetics, and samples of their DNA result in exploding lab equipment. Their coats are visually similar to one or both parents with no set rules about it. Foals also grow much faster than the average horse does, so they live a much greater percentage of their life as adults.
⊱ Artists may create rules in addition, but not contradiction, to these.
⊱ All acanthelle have a base limit of 10 breeding slots. These may be added to with items and events.
⊱ If a parent is not owned by you, screenshot permission proof must be provided.
⊱ There is no cooldown between breedings, and the same parent may be used by different users in the same opening.
⊱ Foals cannot be traded/sold for three weeks after being posted.
⊱ Unicorns related in any way may not be bred together, regardless of the distance of relation.
⊱ Breedings are typically free, but artists may host openings requiring payment.
⊱ All breeding requests should be posted on this thread, and not PM/DM'd to artists.
⊱ Unless otherwise stated in the opening, users may only request one breeding per opening.
⊱ Artists may create a personal breeding every time they host public openings with at least three slots. There is no limit to ordering breedings from other artists during their openings.
⊱ You may open breedings requiring payment after two free openings. The entire opening must have a single flat fee stated upon opening for users to agree to. The paid opening should also be unique in some way, in that you offer to take on more complicated designs, parents with unique line edits, adding items/edits to foals, etc.
⊱ Every breeding has a 10% chance of twins and a 1% chance of triplets.
⊱ There are no foal lines, breedings are to be made, posted, and numbered along with the adopts on the main oekaki.
⊱ Each breeding should display express effort to combine parent designs, even if it skews towards one parent more than the other.
