GENERAL

• The Fungus Folk lineart is not for free use. Only artists on the staff list may use the lineart.
  
  
• Fungus Folk images may not be altered in any way. Feel free to use them as references for art, though!
  
  
• Fungus Folk can be traded for other Fungus Folk, C$, pets, art, or other UMAs that allow trading.
  
  
• Please be respectful and kind to everyone. Bullying or harassment will not be tolerated here.
  
  
• Do not beg, try to bribe, or otherwise harass the owner, artists, or moderators regarding the adopts.
  
  
• Do not spam or double post. Take chats to private messages. Saying "mark" on any of the related threads is allowed.
  
  
• Do not mini-mod. Please let the staff handle any misbehavior or answer any questions posted.
  
  
• Fungus Folk may not be owned by more than one person at a time, which is called co-ownership.

ADOPTING

• Fungus Folk batches are first come, first serve OR raffles. Members may adopt 1 Fungus Folk per FCFS batch.
  Members may enter for all Fungus Folk in a raffle batch but may only win 1 of the Fungus Folk they enter for.
  
  
• Members are required to keep an up-to-date post in the co-op archive to be able to adopt Fungus Folk.
  
  
• Fungus Folk may be posted elsewhere, such as toyhouse, but should be credited and linked back to this shop.
  
  
• When adopting, a number is required in the form to specify which Fungus Folk is being adopted.
  Forms with phrases such as "whatever is left" or "the last open one" will be skipped over.
  
  
• All batches will include a unique codeword & color. Forms with the wrong codeword or color will be skipped over.
  
  
• Editing adoption forms is not allowed. If changes are needed, quote your original form and make edits on a new post.
  Any edited adoption form posts not following this rule will be skipped over.
  
  
• Swapping adopts during a batch opening is allowed once per batch and only if the second one has not been claimed.
  This means if you adopted #1 but swapped to #2 before anyone claimed it, you would receive #2 from the batch.
  However, if someone else claimed #2 before you tried to swap, then you would receive #1 from the batch.
  
  
• Before you add Fungus Folk to your co-op post, wait for the code post so you know for sure you are the owner.

CUSTOMS

• To be able to get a custom, members will need to pay a Toadstool Hollow artist to make their custom.
  
  
• Customs must abide by the Traits section and must be created by a member of staff.
  
  
• There are no restrictions on how many custom Fungus Folk a person can have.

BREEDING

• To be able to get a breeding, members will need to pay a Toadstool Hollow artist to breed their Fungus Folk.
  
  
  
• There are no restrictions on how many times Fungus Folk can breed.
  
  
• Fungus Folk are a magical species so they do not have gender identity or sexual preferences like humans.
  Any Fungus Folk can breed together, as long as they are not related. Any that are too closely related cannot breed.
  
  
• Fungus Folk can produce 1 to 4 offspring, called moppets, at a time.
  The number of moppets in a batch will be determined by a random number generator,
  
  
• Partner breeding is allowed in Toadstool Hollow. All partner breeding will ensure 2 or 4 moppets
  in the batch so that both partners can get the same number of moppets from their breeding.
  
  
• In partner breeding, one partner must post a filled out form in the thread. Once the first partner posts,
  the second partner must post to agree to the request & include a link to the first partner’s form.
  
  
• Partners must decide what will happen to the moppets produced from their breeding.
  If a fair decision cannot be made, a Toadstool Hollow staff member may step in to make the decision.
  
  
• When requesting a breeding, the Fungus Folk must be owned by the member(s) requesting the breeding.
  
  
• Members can only advertise for a breeding partner once per page in the main thread.
  Please take all partner discussions to private message. Discussion in the thread will be considered spam.

PAYMENTS

• Breeding and customs require C$ payment to the Toadstool Hollow artists.
  Members must send payment in a ready to accept trade to the artist taking their request before
  the artist will begin working on the breeding or custom.
  
  
  
• Trade cancellations done without warning before an artist is finished with a breeding or custom
  will earn members a strike. If you need to back out of a breeding or custom, contact the artist first.

STRIKES / BANS

Toadstool Hollow has a 3 strikes policy. Members get three chances before being banned.
Strikes earned by minor rule breakers will have a set time period. After a certain date, a strike will be removed.
If a member reaches 3 strikes before any of them are removed, they will be banned for a minimum of 3 months.
Strikes are for minor rule breaking. Stealing or other any larger rule breaking will get members banned permanently.
Please pay attention to the rules. We want everyone to be treated equally and have a nice time in this community!

COLORS & PATTERNS



Fungus Folk can be found in a vast array of colors! From natural colors like brown, gray, and white
to more unnatural colors like bright orange, mauve, and pink. Their palettes tend to range from 1 to 3 colors.

As for patterns, Fungus Folk can have all sorts of stripes or spots on their caps, bodies, and limbs.
Their tummies may be blank, a single solid color, or have all sorts of circular lined designs on them.
Bodies may be missing a pattern, but their caps (excluding Morel & Oyster) always have stripes or spots.
Caps and bodies don't always have to be the same color. Gradients are occasionally seen on their caps.

IMPORTANT NOTE: All Fungus Folk must have pink-ish blush marks!

HOW TO GET A CUSTOM

XXXWhen a Toadstool Hollow artist is interested in offering customs, they will post that they have open custom slots. The cost of a custom will be determined by the artist. Some artists may decide to charge based on the complexity of the custom you request. Occasional free slots will be available. Artists are allowed to either do first come, first serve slots or choose which customs they want to do from the ones posted during their opening. When an artist says they have open custom slots, simply fill out and post the correct custom form (found below) to be considered for a slot.

REFERENCES

XXXCustom Fungus Folk cannot be based on reference pictures or already pre-existing characters, whether commercial or original. If you attempt to provide a pre-existing character to base your custom Fungus Folk on, your request will be denied. If there's a specific sort of cap shape, color, marking, etc. you are wanting, you may provide an image only for clarification. Artists will not directly copy any photos provided.

REQUIREMENTS

XXXCustom Fungus Folk must abide by the Traits section. You will get to choose the cap, eyes, mouth, number of arms, and the colors and design. Want any kind of feature, like a different cap shape, that isn't available yet? Only ask for new features when rainbowpanda101 is open for customs, as any features made for customs will later become available for everyone. If you have questions at any time or have trouble understanding what traits are available, don't be afraid to talk to rainbowpanda101 and request some help!

HOW TO BREED

PARTNER BREEDING

XXXMost people will probably want to breed their own Fungus Folk together, but partner breeding is also allowed. Partners are two different people who are breeding their Fungus Folk together. In partner breeding, one partner must post a filled out form in the thread. Once the first partner posts, the second partner has to post saying they agree to the request and include a link in their post to the first partner’s form.

OWNERSHIP OF MOPPETS

XXXIf a breeding is done with only one breeder, all of the moppets produced from the breeding automatically go to that breeder. They may decide to keep, trade, or gift their moppets.

XXXPartners must decide what will happen to the moppets produced from their breeding. Each moppet produced will go to one of the partners. From there, they can choose to keep, trade, or gift their moppets. If a fair decision cannot be made between the partners, they may request a Toadstool Hollow staff member to step in and help make the decision.

Q: Can I be an artist or moderator?
A: Toadstool Hollow is going to need artists and moderators! Contact rainbowpanda101 via private message if you would like to apply as an artist or moderator.

Q: How much is it to adopt a Fungus Folk?
A: All regular adoptable Fungus Folk will be free to adopt. They will appear as first come, first serve or raffles. To adopt a Fungus Folk, simply post the correct FCFS or raffle form to try and adopt them.

Q: How often can I adopt a Fungus Folk?
A: As of right now, there is no limit to how often you can adopt Fungus Folk. Please allow others a chance to adopt if you have quite a few already. If the Toadstool Hollow staff notice certain people are adopting too often, this rule may change.

Q: How many Fungus Folk can I own in total?
A: As of right now, there is no limit to how many Fungus Folk you can own. Please allow others a chance to adopt if you have quite a few already. If the Toadstool Hollow staff notice certain people are adopting too many, this rule may change.

Q: What if I don't want my Fungus Folk anymore?
A: If you have any Fungus Folk that you no longer want, you can trade them away to someone else, or gift them to someone else. If these options don't appeal to you, you can private message rainbowpanda101 and request your Fungus Folk be put back up for adoption without your input.

Q: Can I sell/trade/gift my Fungus Folk with others?
A: Yes! You can trade or gift your Fungus Folk, but you cannot sell them for any type of currency, real or otherwise. There are no restrictions on what Fungus Folk can be traded for. Trade for other Fungus Folk, for art, other species that allow trading, etc.

Q: What is the Co-Op Archive?
A: The Co-Op Archive is a place where all members who adopt Fungus Folk should post so that they may keep track of which Fungus Folk they own. It is the responsibility of the members to keep track of ownership.

Q: Can we get custom Fungus Folk?
A: Yes! For a chance to get a custom, you will have to post the custom form when an artist says they are open for customs. The cost of a custom will be determined by the artist. Some artists may decide to charge more for their designs or charge based on the complexity of the custom you request. Payment is given to whichever artist accepts your request. A: No. You cannot alter a Fungus Folk's image.

Q: Is there a fan club for Toadstool Hollow?
A: A Fanclub thread will be posted for Toadstool Hollow eventually. Please do not post a Fanclub for Toadstool Hollow, as we will be posting one at a later date when we're ready for it.

Q: How do I gain access to the Discord?
A: At the moment, we do not have a Discord set up for Toadstool Hollow. Once one has been established, all you will need to do to gain access is private message any of the Toadstool Hollow staff and request an invite link!

Q: I have a question that I don't want to ask in public. What should I do?
A: If you have a question related to Toadstool Hollow that you would rather not post publicly in the thread, you are welcome to private message rainbowpanda101 at any time. Her PMs are always open, and she checks them quite often so you will probably get a response within 1 to 3 days. However, if you do not get a response within 3 days, send your message again. Sometimes her inbox gets messy, so just keep trying until you get a response.
