If you use the “2:1 rule”, then values double every year. So 1 ‘13 UC = 2 ‘14 UC = 4 ‘15 UC = 8 ‘16 UC, etc. I personally don’t recommend that method, because a pet’s rarity doesn’t actually double every year and most people don’t *actually* trade like that. Since the rarity update, some people have moved to a “3 year rule” where pets within 3 years can swap fairly.
If you use the 2:1 rule, then it’s VERY unfair to them. If you use the 3 year rule, there’s not a set rule about how much needs to be added for pets with a gap bigger than 3 years. It’s really up to you and your trading partner to determine what seems fair to you.
Personally, as someone who uses the 3 year rule, I’m on the fence. My first reaction was that your side feels a little high. But ‘13 vs ‘23 is quite a big gap, so I don’t know. A lot depends on how much you want the pets they’re offering.
