just want to try to reassure people and worries ive already seen here: we've done our best to ensure that while the theme is "wild west" its more of a generic "west america" type of theme. focusing more on the overarching aesthetics of places like california, arizona, new mexico, utah, colorado, and even up into places like idaho and montana. we had multiple readovers of the theme and story to ensure it didnt contain anything that might cause distress.

also im super glad people seem to like the rat lineart!! i was very proud of the lil edits i made :> the colors of 2 of them are based after ratties I had a few years ago, the others are based on really neat rats and fancy mice i saw on reddit.

I admit I was a tad wary when I saw the event theme, because there tend to be a crap ton of denial/fake facts /oh its similar let's just blend everything together /etc when it comes to the wild west and the multiple native cultures established at those times.


I hope we'll get some cool pets like a bison litter, some vultures and rattlesnakes !

love this!! as someone with native roots, i'm glad to know that native culture will be respected <3
Wild West and the idea of the american deserts is exactly what I had hoped for!!
I'm going to jump for joy and possibly cry real tears if there is a gila monster.... lizards my beloved
