General
- How does the event work?
- The Summer event revolves around collecting tokens and trading them in for event pets or items. You can collect one token from the event banner every 20 min. Most trade-ins will require multiple tokens and have multiple different outcomes. There are also free event pets and items that are made available throughout the event. Summer events are more in-depth than other site events and involve a storyline which you can follow along with. New areas and NPCs will become available as the event continues. Summer events have two different types of tokens: banner tokens and hourly tokens. Hourly tokens becomes available later in the event at a specific event location and can be collected once an hour. During most summer events it is also possible to adopt a pet when collecting an hourly token, so instead of receiving a token you will receive a pet that can only be obtained there.
- You can check the event outcomes thread here to see all current trade-ins, what tokens they cost, and the different outcomes they can give you.
- The summer event typically lasts about 10-13 days, the exact length of the event varies from year to year. The exact end date is not announced until near the end of the event, and is announced in the site news.
- Rollover refers to midnight in site time. CS is on GMT time, so when rollover is for you will change depending on your time zone. You can see the current site time here, this page shows a 24 hour clock, and rollover is when the time on that page goes from 23:59:59 to 00:00:00. During events, new pets, items and trade-ins are made available at rollover, so it is good to know when rollover is in your time zone so you know when to check for new things!
Saloon Mini-game
- Is the minigame in the Saloon strategy-based or random?
- The game is completely random. Both how many hits you get, and the rewards you get from the game, are random. There are no strategies or skill involved in hitting the bottles/cans.
- The prize you get is determined when you hit 'play', so if you do not want to play it, just hit the play button and then leave or reload the page. Your prize will be awarded automatically. Additionally, if the game glitches and does not allow you to play but resets the timer, that means it has already awarded you your prize.
Banner
- >>Banner Counter<<
What does the banner look like?

The Love Letter is a new item added to the banner on Day 7 of the event. Everyone is guaranteed to get at least one from the banner, after your first one there is a small chance to get another one every time you click the banner. It is a token and can be traded in at the Post Office.
- Some tokens are found by clicking the banner, others can be gained by playing the event mini-game once an hour. Some tokens are available by exchanging other tokens for them. Check the outcomes thread for more details on specific tokens.
- The banner can be found at the bottom of site pages randomly once every 20 minutes. You may have to click around to several pages before you find it, it does not always show up on the first page. There are a few pages the banner cannot appear on. These pages will have a note at the bottom letting you know the banner cannot be found there. There are no specific pages that are more or less likely to have the banner.
- This can happen if you accidentally double-clicked the banner. If the banner has reset and is making you wait 20 min than that means you did click on it and did receive something from the banner.
- 'Banner limit' refers to the total number of banners you can click during the event. The banner limit changes over the course of the event. It typically starts around 200-250 and is raised after enough people reach the limit. It typically caps around 300-350. Trading for tokens does not impact your banner limit.
- No, there is no limit to the number of hourly tokens you can receive. Additionally, hourly tokens do not impact how many banner tokens you can get.
- Banner pets refers to pets you can receive from the 20 min banner during site events. These pets are usually only available during the Halloween event. During the summer event, the pets you can receive from the hourly token location are sometimes also referred to as 'banner pets' since they are gained in a similar way (meaning that, instead of getting a token you get a pet)
Tokens and Trade-ins
- Where can I turn in my tokens?
- Go to the Chicken Smoothie homepage and click on the big summer event banner

- Token trade-ins are not removed during the event. New token trade-ins are added each day of the event, once the event is over the token trade-ins will stay up for several extra days and there will be a count-down on the event page letting you know how long you have. There is typically an update in the site news a few days before the event ends that will tell you the exact date token trade-ins will close.
- During Summer events some free adoptions will be available the entire event, but others are removed from day to day and replaced with new free adoptions. It is best to check each location every day for any new adoptions. Sometimes previously removed free items will be made available again near the end of the event, but not always. Be sure you know when rollover is in your time zone so you don't miss out on any free adoptions!
- After the event ends, the event page stays around for another few days so everyone has time to turn in those last tokens for prizes.
- Tokens are specific to the event they are released in and do not have any special use outside the event. They also cannot be used in any other events. If you have tokens left after trade-ins close they become like regular items, and can still be traded or used in dressups.
- There is an 'Event Tokens' section in your items which displays all event tokens you own from all events. For Summer events, you can check the event outcomes thread for a list of tokens. These are the currently available tokens from the event, please check the outcomes thread to find out where you can get them;

- New token trade-ins and free pets or items are added every day of the main event period. There are typically a few extra days at the end of the event with no new releases during which you can still collect tokens for trade-ins.
