generation 4 - you are here!
- weehaw! the fourth generation appears! : D these pups were a lot of fun to work on, the blue was a really fun choice! this is a breeding including sammpup's oc! : D sammpup gets first pick of the pups and the other two will stay with me, and then I will flip a coin on which pup goes onto the next generation of the challenge! :3 all in all these were pretty experimental but a lot of fun! i really hope you like them! : D
pup 1 - left - raven blues - I lightened the blue colors from their one parent so they'd be closer in hue/saturation to their orange parent, and really went ham on the spots but including shapes from their orange parent since I relied really heavily on the blue parent for the coloration. I just randomly felt like they needed two sets of wings? so I guess I gave them pup 3's wings xD to make up for their mutation they don't have horns though! they're the only pup of the batch to get the blue star marking from their orange parent, which is a lil sad because I was hoping to see it continue down the line more-- but it just didn't suit the other pups.
pup 2 - middle - i tried to mix the colors here and i think they work together pretty well! i added little star marks as spots to carry them on a little bit here, but otherwise this pup is mostly spotty! i had a lot of fun working with the spotty markings and unnatural colors so i likely got a bit carried away. this pup was very experimental but i think they turned out pretty fun! again i tried to mix the shapes of both parents' spot markings in interesting ways, but i tried to take the 'color zones' from their blue parent (keeping light colors at the top of the back and darker colors at the bottom) then made where there would be white markings blue to tie in their other parent's colors (and their black markings covering their face and tail!)
pup 3 - right - creamsicle float - i LOVE the colors on this one, i used the soft oranges from my parent with the spot placement of sammpup's and added my orange parents' 'hood' face marking in white instead of black and I just think it looks so soft and charming! the nonmatching toebean spots on this pup are really stinkin cute too. i used the blue from sammpup's parent as their accent and it adds a fun contrast and bit of pop that really sets them aside from their other orange siblings!
