I feel like it would be OOC for Leafpaw to volunteer to stay behind, especially since Smokestorm is her mentor, but she could point out to Smokestorm that someone probably should (implying that either Petalpaw or Splashpaw should do it) and perhaps he would assign her to elders' den duty since she didn't heed his implied warning before, just so Ravenflight isn't left alone! Or I can adopt Acornfoot too and have another elder join Ravenflight for a chat, too c:

I am interested in Jett for sure...

It seems, however, that Acornfoot doesn't have any clan connections? I kind of expected him to be part of another cat's backstory or something. So, I wonder if I could just as well create another character altogether? An elder tom, black and white, mostly deaf, named Fishwhisker...

I hope my most recent post works—I tried to make it clear what trigger Leafpaw was responding to by adding quotes from other characters' dialogues.

Also, I let the end of the post in the middle of Leafpaw's sentence so anyone else can interrupt, either to volunteer for elders' den duty, for Smokestorm to assign it to Leafpaw after all, or for Smokestorm to reject Leafpaw's notion that the cleanup needs to be done today if he's intent on taking all three apprentices out. In the latter case, I imagine Ravenflight can join a different scene unfolding at camp, or I can interact with her as Acornfoot or Fishwhisker once I get those character profiles up.

oops! I didn’t realize I didn’t put his relations! acornfoot & his mate (turkeytail) took in apricotnose when she came to the clan c: I’ll update that. I like the name Fishwhisker though!

and half siblings may be more realistic unless swan is a purebred oriental as well

shadowthorn is a moody cat. he can be completely calm one moment and then angry the next. however, with age, he’s been able to control his mood swings more.
shadowthorn would do anything for his clan. loyalty was engrained into his head since birth, his father having been the late leader. although they had their tiffs growing up, he still has great respect for claystar as redwoodclan’s leader.
a protector, shadowthorn feels like he constantly needs to be looking out for his clan-mates; especially the younger ones. he’s paranoid of danger and is always on high alert, cautious of his surroundings.

shadowthorn is a short-furred, black cat with strong vitiligo markings. he was all black when he was born, small patches of white popping up here and there until he was around 9 moons old when it seemed to finally stop. he has gray-green eyes.

shadowthorn was born and raised in clan, kit of owlstar (deceased) & hawkeye (deceased). he lived in a peaceful life, being doted on by his parents. that was until he was around 8 moons old when claystar and olivebranch, at the time claypaw and olivepaw, had appeared. shadowthorn immediately fell in love with olivepaw, having never seen a cat like her before. this is where his jealousy of claystar grew. not only was the cat shadowthorn loved in love this claystar, his parents seemed to be as well. especially owlstar. although he knew what his mother saw in claystar was a potential leader, he couldn’t help but feel jealous. as time went on, shadowthorn and claystar developed a (possibly toxic) rivalry. their back and forth completions went on until claystar was made a deputy, and out of respect shadowthorn simply stopped. however his feeling of detest for claystar remained.
however this all changed when the wave of green cough washed over the clan; taking both his parents and his love. shadowthorn’s opinions shifted, seeing how broken claystar had become yet how he stayed strong for the clan. this is where he vowed his eternal loyalty. although he keeps his distance, he sees olivebranch in all three of the apprentices.

I’m kinda thinking since he was in love with olivebranch (claystar’s late mate) he could sacrifice himself saving cloudpaw - just an idea though!
