Oh my gosh, my brain about exploded when Elle put your art in front of us! I just couldn’t believe that it wasn’t a picture. I mean, it’s clear when you zoom in, but when looking at it in full my brain just goes: lighting is too on point, verisimilitude achieved. Well done!

So we want to know, what do you think would be a fair benefit from us for having a stamp in your signature?

^ I didn't know about an incentive, I just loved the idea of a newsletter ahha. Maybe an extra secret puzzle to do, a spot the difference image or something (no prizes, just for fun).

Omg I didn't know who qwertyo was but as soon as I got up to her favourite pet I knew - she's the only person I follow on Oekaki (I haven't ventured in there yet I just auto followed after I saw her yearly dog drawing piece featured on the home page last month. So cool to hear her story, that's so full circle for me lol). Massive fan!

Super fun article! I like that each newsletter focuses on different aspects. Things never feel too repetitive for my tastes.

The interviews were really good! I really enjoy the oekaki and the users on it, so seeing some artists open up about their experiences is super cool!

The behind the scenes look that Lilian Nightshade and Qwertyo gave was great to see. I love stuff like that <3

I think the affiliates section works well! Excited to expand the newsletters reach.

I've been loving the updates to the pound, especially the newest update that lets you know which pets are "Already taken!" in real-time. That "Already taken!" banner really takes me back—it was one of my favorite features back when trading was first being implemented and it's great to see it back in use!

hey ya'll! so uh x'D I'm so sorry to say this because I don't want anyone to feel unsupported, but I didn't post a subscription form for the newsletter, mainly because I have a lot of inbox things to manage and am not currently looking to receive the monthly updates directly. y'all do a very good job but I'm mostly interested in reading on the website when articles are archived! but I received a csn update in my inbox for the latest one, could I request to be removed from the mailing list?

also,I don't mean this in a bad way or anything and only want to sort of speak up on it, but I did go ahead and read the new article over and I'm a little bummed that my mid-month feature was mentioned as part of speculation that the spotlights seem to be "solely art focused" because it's not just art, and it feels a little reductive to have it described as such. it's actually a game (I believe the mid-month update refers to it as a "comic" because it was posted in the "comics/series" section of oekaki) - and it's a community activity, and it's also a story (word count for the game that received a feature is right around 1500 words.) people can comment & join in with the game and play it like a "choose your own adventure" by community vote. I plan out 16 total pathways in advance of these games being posted, and I also give out prizes at the end just for participating. I do have titlecards/drawings for it to give it a visual element but it's really more about the game than the art.

I sincerely apologize! Your project is absolutely stunning, and we did not mean any disrespect, it was purely a superficial speculation unintended to be a jab at anyone's work. We also mentioned in in this way as it was pointed out to us via suggestions! Once again, I apologize for any disrespect, even if it was unintentional. You have been removed from the mailing list and we're sad to see you go, but thank you for pointing this out so we can improve our journalism in the future!
