Pound lag getting worse?

i was just thinking the lag seemed worse now than it did before, the update they did seems nice but it defintely didnt address the lag... refreshing is pointless when it takes ~20 seconds to load the new batch of pets and everything is already taken by then

I'd be willing to pet some of it is attributed to the timing of the recent pounds being near rollover.

I second this. Yesterday at rollover and pound opened and everything was gone before it could even load for me. I think it's just the Easter event causing the servers to have more traffic than usual as people race to get the new event pets of the day and checking the pound/lost and found while they're online

sometimes the pound doesn't even load for me and I completely miss out on them or when I do get the chance to see it the pet I go to grab is taken and everything is gone

Pound lag never really gotten this bad before, especially during events. The server used to be able to handle it, now it's just not working. The pound may genuinely need to be recoded/hosted on another server at this point

This means that you don't need to arrive at the pound in the very first second in order to snag something nice, you could arrive 50 seconds late and still find a treasure!

Sadly, the update doesn't even promise this because everything gets snatched in 50 seconds; and cannot even adopt a common; I genuinely wish cs will address this

i didnt even get a chance to get a pet today. i started seeing people posting in the "pound pets you got" thread and it was already completely cleared out by the time i got there.
i shouldve set a timer or something 🥲
usually even if i get there the SECOND it opens it still says basically all the older/valuable pets are gone. even if i just refreshed to a new set of pets.

I had a mental reminder to come check but I was a few minutes off. absolutely nothing, not even the scraps from 2023+. just closed, nothing.

pound lag has been super bad for me the last few times. i didn’t get to see ANY pets until there was only 500 left. super disappointing, i really don’t like what’s happened to the pound recently.

i didn't even realize the pound was open but the way the site started lagging was crazy ,,,,, and like others r saying i went to the pound when i saw ppl posting in the "pound pets u got" thread and it was already emptied out, this has happened to me a few times now and i genuinely can't tell if there's just more traffic bc of the event or if it's suddenly emptying super fast D:

my page froze everytime i clicked a pet, and it just errored out. id have to close the browser and come back. did it 4 times. and eventually they were all gone, i couldnt even get a omgsc.

its just the event, lots of traffic.
