And now i have just passed the 285.000 milestone!!!
That is 5.000 cats in only 3 weeks!

Anyone else stuck in a huge rut with a species hoard?

I know i've mentioned my foxes a few times now, but it's really starting to feel impossible these days, even with rarity caps on the outcomes/litters. Like, the oldest foxes in my hoards are from *A decade ago* now (Which is painful to realize for other reasons), And 2014 saw ssssooooo many foxes- 66 total outcomes, at least by my group count. Add to that the majority of those are Uncommon or rarer, the rapidly diminishing trade fodder, and the fact that users of that era or older just aren't on anymore.

I'm really trying not to lose hope for it, but as it is the trades I have sitting are just that; sitting. Feels like I'm spinnin' my wheels, is all.

on a different note ,, i am actually
beginning a few more rarer cat
hoards . i’ve completed a few ,
some have groups and some are
just entirely not in groups for the
time being .

in this group , there’s 20 sphynx cats
and 20 purple cats for my beloved
tali . i met tali in a psychiatric ward ,
she was the sweetest and most gentle
angel ever . unfortunately the system
failed her , but her spirit continues to
live on through friends , families , all
those who loved her so so dearly . the
purple cats are because her all time
favourite colour was purple , and she
adored cats almost as much as me .
the sphynx ones are from when we
used to have animal therapy on our
ward , there was a kitten sphynx
cat named doris ! we used to joke
that we were both her mother , and
we would take it in turns to hold her
each week . (,:

I have found that hoarding has really helped with my ADHD and Autism. It sounds silly, but instead of getting upset about incomplete months and gaps in years, I can instead focus on hyperfixations! Its less stressful and I get to keep looking at pets I enjoy.

Also, my hoard themes bring me so much joy. AURORA is my favorite artist, and person, and being of all time. Hoarding makes it so I can collect pets that make me think of her different songs. I also really like Marina's album Love+Fear, and it was a huge hyperfixation for a while so I was collecting pets that made me think of the songs in that album too. Its been a really fun and low-stakes way to collect pets for me!

Also, because I have so many small hoards. Instead of getting bored with the same couple pets, I can jump between which hoards are interesting me most atm!

I haven't found anything to hoard recently. I thought about doing the Valentine's dogs for this year but then it seemed so overwhelming, even for just a single page hoard, since the designs are so popular. I've spent time just collecting particular sets (e.g., Malk foxes) and now I'm pretty much just left with the VR+ to get, sooo ... maybe I'll pick something new to hoard soon. Otherwise it just feels like my collection is really stagnant.

Hey I say just go with the flow, pick a design you like and totally just go for that page! Even if it takes a while that's okay right? n-n
I used to get stressed with too many 'open' hoards then I realised it really, really doesn't matter.

I've been thinking about posting here for awhile, so I figured why not today since I'm just kind of in limbo waiting on a phone call?

I try to keep my hoards small, I hate feeling like I'm taking up too many pets. But, some pets are just SO adorable that I just can't help having more of them!

I have always LOVED SPIDERS! It's more of a collection than a hoard (I've collected every spider on the site) but I keep every spider I get

I have a small 20 pet hoard of this little guy that came out for Christmas last year! I call them feral otters


also have another hoard from Christmas, 22 pets in this one! Krampus Horse definitely stole my heart <3


This one is a little funky. My favorite Avenger is The Hulk and this pup just reminded me so much of the colors used for him!


Finally, a hoard I started when I was here in 2020 was from the 2020 Butterfly wolf litter. I'm in love with snakes so I kept every one that I was given (i think it was before snakes were released on the site?), didn't expect one of them to turn rare! (I try not to hoard rare outcome pets - not shaming just who I am lol)


I've considered hoarding some others, like this horse from 2012 (i love insects),
this dragon from 2017 (LOVE THE DESIGN),
and other small things I love like this dog, this hamster, this fox, and this rat because of all the things I like.

but again, my brain is weird about 'hoards' because of the negative connotation I've always associated with it while I was growing up.
(Again, NO SHAME HERE! I love this thread DEARLY and love seeing everyone's hoards!)
