Write about how you met your Volx!: As soon as my craft landed, I felt immediate anxiety. What if everyone lied, and this place is actually dangerous? Why did I even come here? I was hesitant to even leave the craft, despite knowing it was totally safe. I pushed past that fear and stepped out into the alien landscape. Almost immediately, I was overwhelmed by the sights and color of the place. It was so different from what I was used to, and that in itself was disorienting. I had to sit down in the soft dirt to try to regain my composure.
A rustle in the brush alerted me to the presence of a creature. As I watched, a Volx came out of the tall grasses. Though I was nervous, she came up to greet me, approaching slowly but with a playful demeanor that seemed to say 'I mean you no harm'. Somehow, her presence felt calming. She pressed her nose to my hand, and I instantly understood what she was doing. Her name was Topaz, and she wanted to make sure that my first experience on this planet was a good one, not clouded by anxiety. Her eyes sparkled, like she was smiling. Though I've managed to calm down, the idea of exploring the unknown is scary- but at least I'll have a friend.
