I'm excited to see the results of this! I do think we should have a poll for all "list" pets at some point though, because even if store pets are seen as "unpopular" in this poll, they may still be more desirable than some other non-store pets, if that makes sense. (Same thing with popular store pets; we can't really see how popular/unpopular they are compared to regular pets based on an isolated store poll.)

Oh I 100000% agree with this!

I rated based on how I felt that store pet compared to other store pets. In general I like store pets way more than the classic OMGSRs.

This poll shouldnt be used for trading at all, in my opinion. It is just to see how people feel about pets, but how much people want it is completely diffrent than how much they like it.
On that thread i mentioned the cerberus as example. I like the colors, design, species etc. I gave it a 9 i believe. But if i would rate how much i want it, i'd say 3. I am not willing to pay my soul to get it.
So in my opinion, this poll should not effect the placement of store pets on this list at all.

I keep the poll open until about 300-400 users have voted, so even if people do cheat that way there should be so many true votes that it would only minimally influence the results, and not in a meaningful way, unless they literally make a hundred accounts which I doubt anyone would actually do. The same concern would apply to polls on CS, people could make extra CS accounts to vote on polls here, so there isn’t really a way to prevent that.

Also personally that seems very very tedious and unfeasible. You can have 10 poll options per poll, and one poll per thread. With the sheer amount of storepets you would either need a bunch of threads (which would probably be counted as spam) or a very long time, and you’d also have to hope that users would come back which each new poll update. If you did it within a thread it’d take a while to enter all the results into a spreadsheet, still doesn’t eliminate the possibility of people using duplicate accounts, and then it wouldn’t be anonymous so you could either have arguments or disputes between differing opinions or you could have certain people just copying one another and going with a sheep mentality. I think ♥Princess of Lions♥ did very well with how it was set-up. It must’ve taken ages, and it’s pretty fool-proof all things considered, it’s not like it’s a very delicate science experiment that needs everything to be controlled to a “t”. I think even if results are slightly skewed, it isn’t going to make or break the trading economy for storepets.

I can see the worry, but honestly I really doubt anyone cares enough to make tens of new google accounts just to skew some demand data, hiking up pet value via demand only works if the majority of traders agree or do it, and then it becomes a new normal (e.g the dragoncat pps going from 1ma to 1non), I think the people that make polls/spreadsheets/compile the data into a thread are all definitely intelligent enough to use their own judgment <3 people would be talking about it on cs forums if demand for a pet was going up, it doesn’t just happen over the blue because of one poll (thankfully haha) x,D

The poll only looks at popularity, not rarity, so it wouldn’t change the placements of any pets. It would just show which store pets have popular designs and which ones don’t, which can be useful to people who like trading because if you want easy trades you can stick to pets that most people think look the best!

I highly doubt people are going to make a bunch of accounts to screw with the results. What’s the point? Why would someone want to? Also that’s a lot of work for something I doubt someone cares SO much about SO passionately that they’ll cheat enough to scew the results enough to make a difference. I also disagree with filtering new google accounts (not that I think it’s even possible). Some users might not have an account and would make one to submit their answers. It could exclude a lot of people. I really don’t think it’s something worth worrying about.

Hey guys! I’m struggling a lot with what an 09VR is worth. How many old rares? How many 09 r/vrs makes an MA? I feel like they’ve gone into limbo now and I don’t know how to trade them away or trade for them outside of other 09r/vrs

Check the bottom of it. It mentions that 1MA is 4 VR 2009, and that a VR 2009 is worth 2.5 old rares. 1MA = 10 old rares.
