Originally it made sense, because it was just pets that were not released for the rest of the year.
While that's still the case, SR makes so much more sense, especially because that's how they're labeled in the archive! Support

question… maybe i just missed it, but what are we classifying as an old rare? i’m trying to understand the system more but it seems hard to just accept that ‘list’ pets are worth x amount of random rares. are they just the specific years (2009?) or are they special rares? i guess what im struggling the most with is we just had a huge rarity overhaul but it just isn’t making sense in my brain that the advents that turned omsgr are only worth 10-20 of these old rares? again maybe im just not reading correctly or i misunderstood but i thought there would be more of an emphasis on the omgsr pets are worth more, as opposed to leaving everything how it was before.

Old rares are now classified as 2010/2011 rares, since there aren't many 2009 rares left at all.

I’d also like to raise the proposal that an “old rare” be defined by being at least ten years old, as that might enable the system to stay consistent for longer-term, rather than needing to change each time a specific year’s rares diminish in quantity.

I wanted to pop in and say I support giving a definitive age for “old rares” such as ten years - then it won’t get outdated as quick and it’s easy to remember!

Honestly the term 'old rare' makes things way more confusing than they ought to be 😭 I would class something from like 2013/2014 as an older rare but it would be technically 'new' with the current system. It makes calculating values confusing sometimes.
(Also agree with UR becoming SR! UR is another confusing term since its more commonly associated with 'ultra rare' outside of Chicken Smoothie)

As we transition from the old list to the new list (thank you for the update Horror), there’s been a lot of confusion over pets previously worth 0.25 nons in particular, such as rose dogs, wolf pps, basilisk, etc. People often traded them for 3-4 ma. What if we named these previously 3-4 ma pets as such? Ex. No longer labeling them at 2.5 ma (0.25 nons) but just as 3-4 ma? In this case 0.25 non pets would still be 2.5 ma (Ex. kitsune). I think it’s just the situation of shifting the scale for anything below 0.5 nons that makes it confusing; why were some pets adjusted for lower values but not others

I want to get some opinions on this because I've been genuinely curious about it! So lately I've seen a few Card Dogs (King and Queen not Joker) being valued at 1- 1.5 MA.

I've been looking for some as I enjoy the set, however I thought they were only a Tier 7 pet and worth about 0.5 MA.

I have had a look at the successful trade forum and the TD can sometimes go for closer to 1 MA, but am I missing something with the demand? I don't want to lowball anyone on them so I'd appreciate any insight!
