"A gift?" Your tilt your head curiously bemused.

The kit (almost a teenager, honestly.) jumps and prances around you in his boundless energy, "Yes! You have to help you promised!" He stops in front you again with a look of full of childish determination and stubborness, you flick your tail from side to side in a show of amusement.

"Ibuki will be sad if you don't help, y'know how much he likes you!" Asus interjects again trying his hardest to convince you, you have to admire his determination in trying to chuck all his responsibility of trying to find a gift on his own and reap all the benefits if you do it for him.

You lay down and put your paw under your chin, giving him an indulgent look, Asus bristles immediately recognizing the signs of you preparing to be an absolute nightmare to deal with, "Oh? Does he now? This is news to me." You say in your most droll voice, smirking at him. You can actually hear poor Asus grinding his teeth. "If I remember correctly the last time that we saw each other we had to be separated after we broke that one antique Senjiu liked so much while fighting." Fun times.

Here, Asus rolls his eyes and bristles at you before launching himself at you and trying to bite you, you guffaw in honest amusement while rolling to your side trying to dodge his bites, between playful growls Asus manages to bite out, "Gods! You're impossible and then you have the gall to ask why nobody wants to deal with you!" Finally, he rolls out in a thump to the ground again and you, still chuckling ruffle his hair playfully, Asus bears this for a few contented seconds before showing his teeth and shying away from you while trying to fix his hair with a paw.

With one last chuckle you say, "Alright, alright. I'll help you," at this Asus gets stars in his eyes. "BUT, you'll have to do most of the dyeing job yourself." At this he lowers his ears but meekly nods before looking back at you. "Dye? What for?"

You tell him to stay where he is for a moment while you search for Ibuki's gift. Soon, you present it to him.

"A neckerchief?" Asus asks confusedly. You nod, "An idea I had a while ago after our dear leader lost that collar he liked quite so much. I thought it might be more meaningful to make it ourselves than buying it on some store. Alas, I can't sew so I bought a plain scarf. But you can do a dye job that he might like and there you have it! A gift from me and you to our beloved leader. Don't say I never do anything for you."

Asus gives you a purr before weaving between your legs, chuckling you ruffle his hair again before Asus rushes at top speeds to locations unknown, you can only hope the kid doesn't makes too much of a mess trying to dye the damn thing.

You hear a crash on a faraway room. Oh dear.

Well, at least you hope Ibuki liked the gift enough not to ground poor Asus for whatever mess he made. Again.
