Story or Drawing:
Named for the constellation of which he was born under, Polaris was not like his siblings. While their flames were part of their pelt, in markings of various colours, his blazed outside his fur. The flames licked up his legs, yet they did not burn him, nor anyone who touched the blazes.
Due to his difference, Polaris was shunned by his brothers and sisters. The only family member he could relate to was his dad, whose fire was the same as his, only a different colour.
So instead of playing- or attempting to play- with his siblings, Polaris spent his childhood with his dad. Polaris was curious, and adventurous. He loved learning about new things, gaining new knowledge. He spent his free time talking with butterflies and birds, not caring whether or not they could respond in a way he'd understand. Then he'd watch them fly away, and it'd make his heart leap with joy. And he wished for the day he could be free like them.
