CS OMGSR Pet Popularity Poll [RESULTS POSTED!]

Welcome to the CS OMGSR Pet Popularity Poll! The purpose of this poll is to rank the popularity of all OMGSR pets to support trading. Right now, we have guides that allow people to identify how rare or scarce pets are in comparison to other pets of the same rarity. However, there is currently no system to quantify how popular a pet is. I am hoping that the results of this poll will help give people a general idea of how popular a pet is. This might make trading pets easier. This is just an experiment though, so we'll see how it goes! Please note that this poll excludes store pets, as those are very different from all the other pets on CS.

To participate in the poll, please click this link that will take you to a google form to fill out. Please note that the form is very image heavy as there are many many OMGSR pets. After submitting a response to the poll, you will be able to see the results as they update in live time. Feel free to post on this thread commenting with discussion about the poll, results, and anything else related!

The long awaited results are finally in! The poll is still open so people can continue to vote if they wish, but as of 11/12/23, all of the averages have been calculated and added to a spreadsheet which will be linked below.

Please note, this spreadsheet doesn't assign trading values to pets in terms of how to trade "lower value" OMGSRs for "higher value" OMGSRs. It only shows you where pets rank in relation to one another.

Before you open the spreadsheet, please read all of this post to understand the layout.

Popularity Rating: This number is the average based on all of the votes from the Popularity Poll. They are all in decimal form on a scale of 1-10 and were rounded up to the nearest hundredth.
Rarity Rating: This number is also on a scale of 1-10 which is described in the spreadsheet and is based on the current version of Horror's list.
Equal Split Value: This number is a 50-50 average of the popularity rating and rarity rating to come up with an "overall" score.
Popularity Heavy Value: This number is a 75-25 average with popularity making up 75% of the rating and rarity only making up 25% for those of you who would like to see rankings where popularity counts the most, but rarity is still factored in.

people be valuing my baby trees at a 1 out of 10 i think there should be a 100000000% option for the trees. (it is interesting to see how people think pets should be valued.)

I guess maybe I shouldn’t be surprised, but I wasn’t expecting so many 1/10 responses for the rats! I know they’re less popular than other species, but I think there are some really cute ones! I wonder if it’s just people really dislike them so much, or if it’s partly because people have had it drilled into their heads that rats are bad and have low demand.

Same with the grinners! There are some colors I like more than others, but I never understood all the hate.

I think the pets responses that I found most interesting were the ones where votes were spread pretty evenly all across the board.
