☆ ── ᑕᒪᗩᑎ ᑕᒪᗩᑎLast Post - Last ReplyCauliflower really stepped up to the plate, guiding the others to safety amidst the chaos, her voice ringing in the ears of everyone as a saving grace. How she could stay so calm and collected in a situation such as this was a mystery to just about everyone.
When the flames erupted she immediately began escorting the elders towards the back of the den, towards an exit that lie in the back, something Tansy had made in case they needed to use a different exit. Despite her aloof nature sometimes, you could always count on Tansy to think ahead.
“Come! While the warriors are fighting we escape through here, Follow behind each other as close as you can and head towards the clearing!” She stayed behind making sure everyone got out before she did and then headed out into the fray. She was no fighter but the others might need her help with their wounds. She wouldn’t flee, she couldn’t..This was their home.
However when Cauliflower exited out to the front of the den, she witnessed the outsiders fleeing as the warriors all caught their breaths, looking around in bewilderment. Had they really just fled after setting their camp ablaze?
Cauli immediately ran to Mallows side, checking her for wounds.
“We need to leave, Mallow! Everyone!” She turned to face the rest and that was when she noticed the spooked look on Flo’s face.
Mallow spoke up, noticing the same thing. “What’s wrong?”
“Dog. I smell a dog.” Flo answered, her eyes trained on the clearing before her eyes went back to Mallow. “We are stuck between a dog and a fire!”
Cauliflower was the first to act, how could she have not smelt the dog? She ran ahead quickly towards the clearing where she sent the group of elders and non fighters. “Stop! Theres a dog up ahead!” She would call out and sensing the urgency the Warriors who had just fought trailed behind her, intent on engaging with the beast.
They would rather take their chances with a dog than with wild untamed flames that began consuming their camp and their very homes.
The green kit lie on the ground where she was thrown, her wounds reopening as the flames around her grew larger and closer, engulfing the trees and bushes rapidly.
Her eyes squinted, trying to see through the smoke as it infiltrated her lungs, causing her to cough out hoarsely before she tried calling for help.
She stood up wobbly at first before quickly deciding on her next course of action. She would have gone towards the others who were headed to the clearing if her senses didn’t alert her to the smell of a dog. She decided she would instead flee in the direction the outsiders had and try her best to not get caught by any of them. Then she would look for the two who were with the one she now knew as Mallow. She was unsure if they would protect her, but if she mentioned Cauliflower tending to her wounds maybe, just maybe, they would show mercy.

Tansy and Verum hadn’t found traces of any outsider in the past couple of hours, and were growing tired of walking along the border of trees separating their territory.
“I think we should head back, Tansy. If Mallow were going to catch back up with us she would be here by now. Besides, we found out a lot of information, we need to take back everything we learned to Fig. And they seem to be staying mostly on their side of the border….Mostly” she would recall the tussle they had the other day, that ended with them just fleeing after awhile.
Tansy nodded her head, eyes looking up towards the sky one more time in a vain attempt to maybe catch a glimpse of a scout or something.
“I suppose you are right, we got a few things to bring back and I’m not sure how comfortable I am with being this close to the border without Mallow.”
It was then that Tansies eyes locked on something above the trees, in the direction of the camp, it was faint and small at first and she almost didn’t notice it but there it was. Smoke.
“Verum…Theres smoke!!! In the sky, there! Look!” Tansy was in a panic, why was there smoke? And in the direction of camp? What did they miss?
They both looked at eachother and began running back to camp, their legs not moving fast enough for the urgency they both felt.
Time was of the essence and not knowing if they would return to a burnt down home or not, Verum expended more of her energy to transform, grabbing tansy as she did and sprinted ahead, much faster than before. They had to get home.
