ok... i have NO idea if you did this on purpose, but there is a canine known as the "andean wolf" (not actually a wolf) that is only known from one pelt and potentially a skull. the skull resembles that of a maned wolf, but was found outside their usual range, giving some credibility to the claim of the pelt being from a new species of canine.
there's also another "andean wolf" that's more commonly known as the culpeo or andean fox.

Yup, I did do it on purpose! These are my take on a bunch of cryptids from various folklore, the Andean Wolf being one of them
If you have any suggestions for any others that aren’t on my to-do list, feel free to suggest them^^ I’m not sure when I’ll get around to adding them, but eventually I’d like to add as many as I can lol
