What are Veridians?

Veridians are one of many magical species which inhabit the world of Avaria. Their magic comes from ancient gods who created the seasons. There are five basic variants of Veridians which follow the seasons - Spring, Summer, Monsoon, Autumn, and Winter. Each variant has specific traits and magics that they have an affinity for.

So, how do I get started?

Check out the adopts available below the main image post. Each adopt will have different requirements to enter. Fill out the form, bid, or simply comment to claim one!
The cover art for the adopt may be a younger version of the adopt, or a simple designed cover. Listed in the description of the post will be the full reference sheet. It is up to the owner to decide which reference to use.
Many of the adopts posted here will be cross posted on DeviantArt.

Traits

There is a wide variety of traits among Veridians. Some traits are specific to individual variants, and others are more common among all. There is always a possibility for custom traits outside of the set ones currently listed.

love the community here on CS and I am excited to watch Veridians grow. I have

Hiya, I'm Kes! I love drawing silly little creatures on the internet. I've been on CS
since 2011, and I'm very happy to be a part of the Veridian team! I'm excited
to see how this species develops. My pronouns are he/him.

Hey I'm oliv! I'm very excited to be apart of the Veridian staff! Please use she
or they pronouns for me. Beyond closed species on CS and DA, you will also find
me active in the DARPG and associated communities on deviantART! My interests
outside of art include speculative biology; cryptozoology; being a fish nerd and
creating characters, for d&d and personal art/writing projects.

Hi, I’m Garnet! I use they/them pronouns and have been a closed species fan
for a long time! I also enjoy d&d, sewing, doodling and reading/writing. I have
been on CS a long time, and despite not doing as much in the forums as I used to,
I’m excited to embark on a new project in keeping the archives looking polished
and updates!

Hey there, I’m Greyfire, but most people call me Grey! My preferred pronouns
are she/her. I have been a proud member of CS since 2012! Outside of CS, I am
going to college to pursue a career in education and writing to hopefully become
an English teacher and maybe, just maybe, an author alongside that! In my free
time, you can often find my outside with my horse and puppy or snuggled up in
my favorite chair with my nose stuck in a book. I am obsessed with quiet a few
fandoms such as Harry Potter, Supernatural, Criminal Minds, and much more!

How do I get started?
★ Search through the available adopts to find one you like. Comment accordingly to claim!
How many can I own?
★ There is currently no cap to how many Veridians you can own.
Can I be an artist/mod/staff member?
★ We will post on this thread if there are any staff openings.
Can I breed my Veridians?
★ The nursery is currently under construction. We will update here when the nursery is open and running.
Can there be Veridians with more than one Variant?
★ Yes! This can happen when two different variants have a pup. It is rare, but it can happen.
