Rattlecage spends the next half an hour explaining his findings -
how he noticed something was off with the arcade's power from
the very beginning. He recognised the handiwork of a certain
individual - known as "Boss" - who has been known to cause
trouble in digital realms. Using its powers, Rattlecage has
followed and observed their movements from day one, to see
what they were up to, exactly.

Goose yowls, tugging at their
headwings nervously.

The brightly coloured chicoon replies
apologetically, waving his arms about.

You all stand still and look up at Rattlecage, feeling the tension
growing thicker around you as you wait for him to let the cat out
of the bag, expecting the very worst.

Goose and Rattlecage devise a careful plan while you and Goob decide
to call reinforcements. You wake Gadzooks up and he follows you sleepily
through the tent as you inform other chicoons of the incoming danger. You
then leave the arcade and traverse the carnival, trying to gather as much
help as possible. Some deny and leave in fright, while others happily join
you, brandishing brave smiles and whatever weapons they could find.

According to Rattle, Boss has been living in the digital world almost since
its beginnings, travelling through websites, wiping hard drives, corrupting
files and even infesting video games from time to time. They've been trying
to break out but to no avail, until now...

A few hours later, a hoard of chicoons gathers outside the arcade tent,
preparing to strike. Gadzooks and Rattlecage remain inside, watching for
anything out of the ordinary as they're the most experienced ones when it
comes to machinery but even you can tell that they're a bit nervous. It feels
like ages until the arcade cabinets begin to malfunction again, shaking, their
screens flashing rapidly. It's time.

First, one cabinet topples over. Then another. They crackle and jitter, their
wires twisting, releasing little sparks. You hear one of the screens shatter
and you take a deep breath as you see broken glass littering the carpeted
arcade floor... next to the very same tail you saw on the camera footage
last night. It wriggles itself a little further out, moving in a snake-like
manner before the cabinet begins to flash even more, all kinds of colours
bleeding through its screen. A loud, unfamiliar voice utters something
between a grunt and an evil cackle from the machine, before a small,
rotund chicoon emerges from it. They scramble to their feet and look
around with sharp eyes, wings unfurled.

They hiss when they notice the swarm around them, tail coiling around the wires on the floor.
"What are you all staring at?" In an instant, you hear a battle cry behind you as everyone rushes
towards the intruder. You quickly follow suit, fists clenched. This is it!
