Making posts/reels about the history of CS I think would be interesting. I know there's a thread on the site, but having it in video/narrated format might be more enjoyable for some users! (and it might draw in new users as well)

i like this idea a lot! the linked historical fun facts thread has a bunch of great stuff we could use too! you're right that video content could be more engaging - i know i struggle with big text threads sometimes so i can see it making it more enjoyable for others!

I would love to see some CS related reels! I've been trying to get my friends interested in CS but it's hard to explain what the site actually is rather than just a pet adopting site--I'd love to see someone explain that so I can send it to my IRL friends.

(Also, I freelance as a marketer and Reels have been such a blessing--it helps with reach so much)

Are there any specific aspects you'd like to see be explained? Or just kinda summarize CS into one reel kinda thing?

That would be nice! Also maybe some reels that highlight player experience?

That's a a really good idea! I don't believe the account is active, same with the official CS facebook account however we were discussing other platforms we could work towards becoming active on and surprisingly Youtube was not brought up. You're absolutely right though, Youtube has ALSO delved into the world of short video content which we could easily use.

Might be nice to see some more community related things, such as staff asking questions and some of the answers being featured.

Could also feature some of the long running games on CS such as Tea vs Coffee— like a graph showing the votes & letting people vote there for fun too even though Instagram has no influence to the forum of course.

Tentatively suggesting Timelapse of artists designing a pet or item, since the Timelapse comes out after the item is released it shouldn’t break any rules I think

When I interact with Instagram accounts it's because of things like: polls, ask boxes, sharing multi reel explanations.

The polls could be really dumb but I would answer lol. Do you use the forum smilies? How do you sort your pets? Rock pet is the best or overhyped? Post on people's oekakis or like and lurk? Etc

The ask boxes are just. Ask us something about CS and someone on staff answers. Post the question and answers as stories so we can all see.

The multi reels are fun. Pick a topic and have it explained in multiple reels. I will watch it all.

i dont use instagram so my ideas might not be the best but i thought id share!

i know the staff dog litter is coming out soon, and it seems like a cool thing to share on other platforms! i suppose it might be toeing the line of staying centered on cs as a brand versus the people behind it in which case thats totally understandable.

i was thinking maybe a post or two explaining the premise of the staff litter, then introducing the guessing aspect of it and then plugging the discussion thread? maybe even a post before the litter comes out asking what users think this years color palette will be or something!
it could be cool if every new growth there could be a corresponding post on instagram and a poll guessing whos it could be? (any staff claims wouldnt necessarily have to be revealed on instagram. maybe at the end of the poll there could be something like "check the discussion thread to share your guesses") then at the end of the month you could share the artists and if the polls were guessed correctly?

i know this obviously ties hand in hand with the community questions segment, but i figured specific ideas might be useful?


another just general idea could be pet/litter spotlights. not necessarily even more well known pets. just sharing a pet or a litter and then some artist inspiration or commentary! i think it could be a fun way to highlight the diversity of cs pet designs and linearts


excited to see what comes of this. i hope you'll provide updates on cs as to how the instagram/social media campaign is running (im very interested and dont use social media for mental health reasons)

I would love to see something like shoutouts for players who are doing like big giveaways or art cons on their instagram as some threads move a bit too fast to keep up with all the community members that are giving back but I don’t know how that could be possible due to the speed of some of them 😅 anyone is free to add to this if they have an idea I just think it could be a good way for those who just want to give back to the community to be seen better but like I said no idea how to implement it to keep it up to date
