i'm late to this discussion, but i'd like to propose (as per Lacuna's post) that instead of "Extremely" we could use "Super". So it would go Rare > Very Rare > Super Rare > OMG So Rare. if anyone has input i'd love to hear it.

edit: nvm i'm seeing that people have suggested this!! cool, i missed it bc i jumped straight from lacuna's post to most recent (: i do agree that the white outlines are very hard to read though!

Or if they do so maybe they could have multiple options on the text? Some without that option

As far as naturally flowing words/phrases go for increments, "super" and "super duper" come to mind.

To me, that's more clear than trying to think of essentially other synonyms for rare. Like elusive? Prevalent? Legendary? Mega? Ulta? Without context, put together, it's impossible to know what the natural order is. So while cute and unique, I think it would make things more confusing. But I think it's easier to see if something is "super" X, then the "super duper" is like extra emphasis.

ACTUALLY, i think this is very cute and might be my favorite suggestion yet for adding words. it's simple, it's funny, and i think it's childish in the most perfect way, and since this is a website where kids are welcomed, i think it's very fitting.

I've seen some people be confused about the graph distribution, so this is about how I understand it:
Keep in mind this is a vast oversimplification lol. I'm not huge on trading or the CS economy myself, so there's definitely more nuance, disparity per year, big gaps in amount of pet, etc.
Also I wanted an excuse to draw some little guys.

they do sound better, i just think the issue is they would be very confusing for a large part of the community.

I did not consider super and very being too similar, I'm not a native english speaker (even though I forget that sometimes) so to me the word super felt like a very big and obvious step-up. but after reading from a lot of you who see it differently, and asking google to define the word, I can absolutely see why it could get confusing.

so I'm going to propose something else and see if it sticks:
what if we used extra instead of extremely? I hope that has a better distinction, it sounds right to me but again I could be wrong.

I really like Panne's edit of my original rarity stars mockup, so I sat down and made a version with the colors proposed by Fellefan! I wasn't liking how the "shiny" bar was looking (it just looked a lot like the SR bar tbh), but thought the rainbow OMGSR was cute and hopefully not too similar to the custom bar...? Who knows.

I do like the "super duper" name for the new "extremely/super/ultra" tiers, it's rather whimsical in line with tiers like "OMGSC/R". I am in the camp that we should preserve as many existing rarity names as possible - assuming that 4 rarities will be added by the looks of the poll, that's a big enough change already that I would imagine keeping at least some tier names will make the adjustment easier for most people.
