I wanted to give a quick heads up for Sandy though-- she can't visit the seer during the week, unfortunately. She'll have to wait for the weekend. But if you want to send her on a quest or internship meanwhile, you absolutely can!

Hey everyone, I'm very sorry to say it, but my work has caught up with me a lot, and I'm going to have to make a change to how questing goes.

From now on, I plan to just do the one result update, on Fridays, so it's easier for me to keep up with and get to on time. I apologize for the lack of communication and the delays. I love Chimeleons and I really want to make sure that I can deliver where it counts, so I'm hoping that this change will mean I can continue to provide thoughtful quest updates weekly.

Thanks so much for your support and understanding as I figure things out. My primary goal is keeping Chimeleons enjoyable for everyone!

I'm very sorry and a bit embarrassed to announce so soon after starting up that I need to close Chimeleons indefinitely. I know this can be disappointing, especially considering everyone's support and involvement. Community-based games like UMAs are especially people-based by nature and I don't like to do this, but I have to admit defeat. My new job IRL has eaten up all of my creative juice and I'm honestly just too burnt out with online things to keep up...

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR THOSE WHO HAVE CHIMES:

The Chimeleons are yours, they belong to you. They are still official Chimes and if-and-when I get Chimeleons up and running again in the future, you'll still be able to participate using them! You can still use the roster to reference things, and you can still trade the characters for other Chicken Smoothie UMA characters if you wish (just be sure they understand that Chimeleons is on hiatus).

When I resume in the future, whenever that is, it will be with a plan in place to have things more streamlined and better managed, to ensure that it's easier for me to keep up with everything, and easier for the userbase to get on with their activities etc. I have a lot of features planned, but they'll just need to drop when the hiatus ends, unfortunately, as I've barely got anything finished right now. For sure in the works that you'll see in the future are:

- Achievements, including some for OG players (the first 30 to own Chimes would receive recognition)
- The Apparel store (which... a LOT of the apparel and the NPC owner are complete! I just can't handle the potential equipping of apparel right now as it's a lot of individual work)
- More NPC artwork

I do intend to come back to Chimeleons. But it's my first month in my new job and I just haven't quite figured out how to fit Chimes into my schedule any more. I'll be sure to update you all as soon as I have a plan in place. Once again, I offer apologies to nosedive so quickly <3 THANK YOU for adopting Chimes, playing with them, and generally supporting this UMA as it has evolved. I hope to see you again on this thread in the future!
