The biggest complaint on here seems to be the trading system and rarities. Now that you mention it I've looked back and the only rares I've gotten recently are the event. No longer in the monthly adopts.
My sister was talking to me about this. She was glad she had some older pets on her account that have value because she said she would never get some of these pets simply because the newer pets are mostly commons.

I second this. And this is worst for the new Players. I mean if I found this site now…I will likely give it up after few days max weeks. You will find all these cool pets from 2008 and then you will found out you will likely never get them…. Also there is this weird demand thing. This bothers me a bid. It seems nowdays a lot people have their own demand for pets, like no this is unfair to my 2013 rare because, or no it is unfair to my 2017 because. This is quite comfusing even for older Players. Also there is i saw thus dog go for 6 nons and others ok he is worth 6 nons. It really is confusing. This happend with Raven dog. It worth 3 nons and now 6? Even saw someone wanted 8 for him. The demand is just weird and confusing.

So like an old player I do not have pets to trade for these. What about the new ones. I wish there were more chances to get rarer pets for trading. There is one for Christmas but I never got anything better than 2008 rare. It is game. But you can not Play it and make any progress like this. I wanted to quit myself few times because of this. And like I said I can not imagine how hard this must to be for new Players. I for myself know if I was new player I will not stay here and it just make me sad.

I just wish more and more people would join not the other way around.

I love this site, it was big part of my life. So because of this I am sad.

Popping to say. 100% agree. I passed all my pets along to some else because I HAVE given up. By other sites standards, 5 years then removed seems pretty standard. A decade/10 years by that standard is MORE than generous.

The reasons I gave up was because I have very rude behavior from staff. I did an off-site trade for some dec 18 pets and they deleted my friends account with false accusations of cheating which bummed him out big time because he was otherwise a very much casual player with interests in the clown themed pets from various events. I had solid evidence but they refused to listen to reason and said nope. Cheating.

This annoyed me, but there was nothing I could do about. They made up their minds. I've heard other users voiced similar complaints in the past that staff ARE rude and sometimes unfair with how they handle things.

I am annoyed they will ban people and delete people's accounts with false accusations they've made up in their minds when it's convient for them but other often way more serious situations for ignored. This is why I've stopped gifting people entirely, I have a history of being quite generous gifting rares and such to people cause they were they're dreamies and I didn't mind sharing the good vibes but because of staffs distrust of it's userbase I've stopped entirely.

I've given up entirely.

Like that wasn't even a gift. It was payment for a irl in person art commission. It was by all standards a trade. WHICH IS SITE LEGAL I REMIND YOU.

I don't trust them to even jokingly consider deleting accounts even if it would better the site and make it run smoother and save space and the likes because literally a staff came in to remind the forum of their official statement. If that's their response tried and true than I don't see this site really progressing further than it's current state. It's not realistically to expect that of them. It's just not. Wishful thinking that they'll actually bother to listen keep up in their front pocket rather than their back one.

The other reasons I've left can be summed up as: yeah, the market place list rules that's 100% fan made and has technically speaking no real basis than players enforcing it.

Worst parts include the fact there is actually multiple list some with contradictory values and pricing. Some of which are retired... On theory. Never in practice. I've seen people mention a list, but they'll never specify WHICH list.

Or the fun times when they say they aren't gonna follow any list but then turn around and following list standard values regardless.

Also the fact we are now at a point that certain pets are now worth 2k dollars in us currency apparently? Last I checked the most expensive pet was 200$ but now it's up to $2000???? Excuse me? Pardon? Did I read that correctly? Doesn't that like scream hey a line needs to be drawn, your literally on par with prices of what, irl apartments? Heck depending on the price that could be worth rent for like 2-6 months. Do people not realize that????????

unfortunately I think this is more directly related to the inflation of c$ than it is anything else. I don't know anyone who would buy c$ at those rates, but there are plenty of things onsite that go for many thousands of chicken dollars other than pets (like art, adoptables, etc.) i've sold a commission before here on CS for 2k c$ - which would be $105 in USD, which is not an amount that I would have asked for that piece in real money. but c$ is much easier to get using methods that don't involve paying for it.

Another thing to keep in mind: There are users that passed away who used to play CS. (I've seen and unfortunately knew a couple users that used to play CS but passed) Having their account deleted with their pets gone is kinda disturbing their peace, especially if they were an active player when they were around.

I wouldn't want my pets and account deleted if I were to pass on.

I’m torn on the VR monthly release thing because the list is already long and complicated as it is. Adding to it every month would make it a dissertation. Plus users deserve to get their current monthly outcomes without a hassle if they are more casual players. I would rather see old pets get randomly sprinkled in monthly adopts like the zebras are.

This, I prefer special releases rather than an outcome! Like how malk had dragons, the zebras in the horses... It would make both sides happy

what if, since you mentioned special releases, could these monthly (and when i said monthly, i do not mean every month! i just mean every once in a while!) valuables be counted as special releases like the december 18th urs are? it would be fun to have more opportunities to get special release pets than just december 18th as well, and it would still bring in more traction and more new valuable pets without disrupting people who want to casually complete monthly collections! they could still be designed to fit the litter they're from, but just won't count with the monthly outcomes of the litter!

I wish I could add anything to this thread that hasn't already been said. I personally have considered giving up a few times just because of how hard it is to really get anything. When I came back from a short hiatus a while ago, with no real knowledge of the worth system, I got nabbed out of a few pets that I couldn't have had any clue how much they were worth at the time. Wound up trading many lists, that I only even had because I caught Dec 18 before even really knowing about it when I joined, for one or two regular rares. Which is all fine and good, I accepted those trades fair and square, but since then I've actually been stagnant when it comes to collecting the certain pets I want. And it really sucks when I could've been a little closer to these things than I am now, if it weren't for this extremely convoluted rarity system that nobody that is not so heavily involved with chicken smoothie would understand. I get that this is a collection game of sorts, but I've been on this site since 2015, and haven't really moved up in pets of worth since 2016 at all, and it feels like an actual stressor sometimes to get anywhere at all.

It's like an underground rarity system almost. The pets have worth tags, and I understand demand is a huge part in any sort of economy that relies on trading, but MAs and NONs or whatever they are are just something I refuse to learn primarily because I couldn't if I wanted to. Obviously a VR from 2019 if that exists is worth less than one from 09, but that is obvious, and then adding in the demand that fluctuates constantly as everyone else has said. It's easy to take advantage of players who don't know the list worths. I pass by almost any trade that includes a rare by this guy ^ cause I have no clue what anything is worth and joined to play casually, but I also don't want to lose like something that's worth $2k because they both have a rare tag & I didn't know better. I hope this makes sense, and I wish I had a proper suggestion, but I have no idea how to manage an economy. It also sucks, I want to get $C but any attempts I make are generally failures, and buying $20 worth hardly gets me anywhere. I do not understand how this happened since they literally have a set worth for people to follow, and a pretty basic conversion rate if you don't include the deals with the bigger packages which are normal in any games like this. I wish there was way for me and other players like me to actually begin to understand worth. Even if I were to look at a list, I don't have a single pet on them, so were do I go? I've been struggling to even get more than a rare on my account, though I've gotten a couple from the event. I think there are some pretty good suggestions in here regarding distributing pets better, but again I play casually, so I don't really know what would be the best option.
I also don't have any problems with the mods, I didn't expect the thread I made at the time to blow up like it did, I genuinely just wanted to put in a suggestion to help out.

In my opinion we should have more frequent very rare pets. Yes I know I’m unlikely to get them, yes I know lots of other people won’t get it. Sad as that is- I’m sure it’ll be pretty disappointing for people. there is allowed to be rare and very rare pets in a game with a rarity system. It would help the economy for newer players to get valuable pets more frequently. Out of the proposed ways to combat inflation I think it is a very viable one. Obviously everything has pros and cons but what has heavier cons?

It doesnt help the comparison they refuse to rerelease store pets and for example, the only thing that indicates one raven dog from another is date it was 'born' then that pet's ID. Basically the closest thing you'll get as in NFT from this site are store pets or custom pets.

Heck, while there is a lot of inflation if you don't know where to look for those 'other method' of obtaining C$ your plum outta luck.

One idea I'd have is on Dec 18 just make a paid for box (with c$) and you'd get a random store pet. Older pets are harder to get than more recent store pets, ultimate ignoring their actual rarity. That or make store pets as rare as OMG pulls from the Dec 18 box. Letting stores be released at all would fix MANY issues and I wouldn't mind paying for it.
