They're getting there with this event by having secondary tokens like the fish, but they require spending beads and they need another way to be attained. Don't get me started on having to wait a whole hour for one bracelet.
i dont think there's that much of a problem with the tokens! sure there's limits but it's still very possible to get all the pets with those limits, with extra mini games i think there'd be too many event pets circulating around ^^;
i agree w this as well! im not even halfway to the limit, but i have every single event pet rn, including the rock. it helps keep the value of the event pets and make them more special.

Thatd be so cute... would definitely be a way to get people to visit i think!! I know i would make sure to be like "oh jts my cs birthday. Hooray!!!" Idk i just think its be cute :3c
This would be awesome! Just gotta make sure you can't change your birthday around because I have seen people abusing putting their birthday as something it isn't and then changing it back after :p
i know social medias like snapchat have it to where you can only change your birthdate once or twice so it's possible!
for the abusing the birthday thing i also believe a wait could be put on those accounts even if the wait is a few months, otherwise abusing the system would be fairly easy

Just wanted to put my two cents in! I haven’t been back to cs for long (took a handful of years break from it over covid) so I’m not super up to date on the recent security problems and what not but; I think we can all agree that we miss the old CS.
not to get all nostalgic and stuff but truly, it was apart LOT of people’s childhoods. When I had a tough day at school, this game was here for me, players and community included.
I understand the criticism towards owners and mods of the site, but honestly, I can also understand how hard it must be to manage a site that means so much to so many people. Like a lot of popular nostalgic communities (pokemon, animal jam, etc), it’s really difficult to keep that magic alive in the first decade or so.
There’s so many good suggestions on this thread, and I’m so glad we’re compiling them! All I hope is that the mods, Tess and Nick listen to our suggestions and consider them! Maybe even hold a Q&A type style, where players can go back and forth with mods about ideas and suggestions? Even if discord servers, there is always this sense of hierarchy between mods and players. I feel though, once you level the playing field and both are on the same level, it can be rewarding! Of course, professional tone and language is a must, but I think some sort of “talk back” Q&A with the mods would idk.. be more humanizing? I feel like sometimes people can get lost in the “hierarchy” and forget that mods, tess and Nick are just humans <3
(This is not proof-read I’m sorry in advance LOL)

Absolutely, I'm not sure how CS does birthday changes but I'd say it should be a one-time choice unless you contact a mod about it legitimately being wrong

I dont think you can if it was tied to the day you joined?? Since the only way you could have a different cs bday would be if you had a second account which isnt allowed anyways lol

This is such a cute suggestion! A lot of players like having pets with the same birthday as them, so being able to adopt a pet
on your birthday as a little 'present' would be a lot of fun!
Just quoting this because I think it's an idea that has merit

Though my birthday is the 18th of December XD so guess i'd just have one more present to open! jokes aside I do think this is a good idea that could keep the economy fresh year round too.

this one i have to heavily disagree with you on. i have had many interactions with site staff and they have been nothing but kind and helpful to me, and i never felt i was being talked down to or degraded in any way.
Agreed. I've seen people complain about the staff and I personally don't understand it? They've always been kind and involved with the community from what I've seen (like in the featured art and the Adoptables section of the forums). I wouldn't interpret their behavior as rude if they're just doing their jobs. Like when they tell people their topic is considered spam, it's always in a respectful way.
Staff are volunteers who do their job because they love the site (at least I sure hope they do!) and they want to make it better. Sometimes I feel like the widespread hate is possibly related to off-site gossip. I have no idea if that's true though since I only visit CS itself.

pancreas. wrote:for all the people saying mods have been helpful to them, i believe maybe ive just had experiences where i cant read tone correctly. i have quite a hard time when it comes to that sort of stuff and i can understand that a professional tone can come off as intimidating or rude. i just really need tone indicators lmaoo
also i do agree that the site maybe needs to lighten up about how strict they are?? alot of users on here are adults, and although there are some kids, alot of us have grown up thru the years and itd be awesome if it wasnt so strict! :)
i can promise you that no one on the staff is will ever go out of their way to be rude to you. the issue is that we hold ourselves to a certain professionalism when handling site matters, and this often gets misconstrued as us being rude. it is not at all, and is simply us trying to get our point across and uphold the site rules.
to go off of what lacuna said, the privacy and information rules will not be changing. i understand that many users here are adults, but there are also many children. there are numerous (tbh, it feels like most other websites at this point) other places and websites on the internet with much more relaxed safety rules. if you're looking for someplace like that to talk and share things, you are free to head somewhere like that! on CS, we would like to maintain a safe environment for all ages, regardless of how silly others may think that is. everyday, staff experience situations on this site that remind us of why we have these rules in place. it is important to understand that it is not to censor anyone, but instead to protect those who are vulnerable.
to add on to this, please remember that staff are here to help you. we would not talk down to you or think lesser of you just because we have some authority on an internet forum. we all have a deep love for this site and it shows by us volunteering for these positions in order to help keep this place safe and fun. i urge you to please report anyone who makes you feel uncomfortable or condescended. additionally, the help ticket feature is available for any questions or concerns you may have. we are here for you!!!

i think an official cs discord would help the community connect a bunch! it would def be easier to make friends

(SnIPPED! I don't know what I"m doing oh god)
also wanted to come on here and saw that! i’m autistic myself and have a hard time understanding tone, but every admin and mod message that i’ve read has just been professional. i’ve been a director and manager at a restaurant, and have had to use plenty of professional messages and communication techniques, so perhaps that’s why i am able to understand these messages so well, but they’ve never come across as rude. just professional and respectful. plus, the admin need to send the message to players that they ARE the heads of this site, and therefore do require respect, and that’s another reason why this professional language and tone is being used.
It's important to consider that other people have had less pleasant experiences. I'm very happy that you all have had great encounters with staff, but not all of us have. /gen /nbr <3
My original post here was not at all intended to come across as if I was belittling anyone elses experiences-- these were just things I felt should be said.

As I said, I tend to keep to myself so I've had few mod/admin interactions. (ALSO /gen! <3)
