Just wanted to put my two cents in! I haven’t been back to cs for long (took a handful of years break from it over covid) so I’m not super up to date on the recent security problems and what not but; I think we can all agree that we miss the old CS.
not to get all nostalgic and stuff but truly, it was apart LOT of people’s childhoods. When I had a tough day at school, this game was here for me, players and community included.
I understand the criticism towards owners and mods of the site, but honestly, I can also understand how hard it must be to manage a site that means so much to so many people. Like a lot of popular nostalgic communities (pokemon, animal jam, etc), it’s really difficult to keep that magic alive in the first decade or so.
There’s so many good suggestions on this thread, and I’m so glad we’re compiling them! All I hope is that the mods, Tess and Nick listen to our suggestions and consider them! Maybe even hold a Q&A type style, where players can go back and forth with mods about ideas and suggestions? Even if discord servers, there is always this sense of hierarchy between mods and players. I feel though, once you level the playing field and both are on the same level, it can be rewarding! Of course, professional tone and language is a must, but I think some sort of “talk back” Q&A with the mods would idk.. be more humanizing? I feel like sometimes people can get lost in the “hierarchy” and forget that mods, tess and Nick are just humans <3
(This is not proof-read I’m sorry in advance LOL)
