i love how the site has barely changed since 2015...except for parts like that..where i wish that there was a much more updated sorting system now. such as knowing if it came from an event, being able to auto sort by rarity/events/and so on..it just seems like with how many massive amount of pets there is now it would be nice. Along with tthe fact that t rarities Are updated randomlyh. so you will have folder with only uncommon, only common, and have to go through all 200 pages just to find thes that changed(´• ω •`).

Yes! The internet has grown a lot since Cs has been around BUT that doesn’t mean it has to completely change, it can get updates and new features while staying true to itself

Personally, I'd love to be able to sort my pets by rarity when I'm looking at them-- just, y'know, would make life easier in general.

I would love that, especially for my trade groups which I organize by rarity. It's hard to find rarity changes when you have over 6,000 pets in your trade groups alone.

Truly this has been my one major pet peeve with this site since I started, haha.

Honestly I gave up at this point, I don't wanna look through over 100 pages to find one random out of place rare to pop in the rares group.

Rarity makes no sense anyways, because the rarity tags just don't tell you enough. An old 2010 dog could have recently gone rare due to it's age, but a warrior cat that has been rare for years on end isn't worth the same value. Or even another 2010 dog that was rare since it was released.

And there's just no way for new players to KNOW this, which is again why it's easy to get scammed. 'Rare' barely means anything based on tag alone, and the 'very rare' tag is no better.

Which is why I think the new trading system DOESN"T work because '100 rares' means nothing when those rares have a sliding scale of invisible value.

the old system was even worse for this though, truthfully. :0 "100 rares" is still a concrete value. "balloon + toxic + grinner" is gibberish to anyone trying to get a grasp on a system they are brand new to.

This was something that was brought up in the thread I've linked a few times here. It's almost as if Tess has disappeared. Nick, I know, works behind the scenes and is the site's ONLY coder (poor guy). x.x

This was years ago, so I could be mistaken, but I do believe Tess made an announcement in which she said that she was kind of stepping back from CS. I think it may have been a Q&A where she said that her and Nick made this site for fun and never expected it to get as big as it did and (once again, this was years ago so I could be mistaken) that she was not planning to be super involved, and may have said the same of Nick as well.

I believe there was also an announcement where she clarified that CS was not her or Nick's full-time job and the store pets basically just covered server costs and staff salaries. But again, this was a long time ago. I will look for the post and if I find it I will link it. If I find out I am incorrect about my info I will quote and say so so that no one is left with misinformation

Most of my artwork (realistic animal work) was in Advanced or Intermediate, based on skill level, and now it's all lumped together with thousands of other animal artwork. Look, I can sort of understand it "hurting feelings" to have things moved around if something didn't fit a certain skill level, but now "Animals/Creatures" is too generalized and the forum itself has been pretty dull/slow since the change, honestly, so I've not even been much inclined to make new artwork here since the change.

I saw your post! I thought about responding but I ultimately didn't because I vehemently disagreed with this part specifically and didn't want to come across as harsh or rude xD I'm so sorry! but I passionately disagree haha. this was the absolute best change for me in recent memory here on CS.

No problem. I do think the really large topics should be further divided though into something like Realism/Cartoon, though. There are almost 25,000 pages of Animals/Creatures with no further distinctions on the art subject/style

(You have some pretty artwork, btw. I like your style. And I saw the friendship bracelet editable yesterday! Very cute.)

An email reminder for events starting or special releases would be fantastic. The amount of times I either missed or arrived late to events and such over the entirety of my time here is just unacceptable. Unless there's something in the settings for email notifications that I'm blind to.
