Ferven wrote:The thing I always think about though is... how much work is it running this website? Do the owners make any money off of this other than what is likely used to pay artists and keep it running? I'm sure they have day jobs. I couldnt imagine working 45 or more hours a week and then, instead of relaxing by playing a game/watching TV/reading a book, having to run a website with thousands of people on it who will never all be happy. Realistically, there *is no* simple solution to these problems that will make everyone happy.
Or, if there is, I surely cant think of it. Suggestions are one thing but how could we possibly know the results.

Also I think part of the reason why there aren't as many new players is that these types of forum websites just aren't really popular anymore.

response to an earlier message but i think it applies

"I understand this, and partially agree with you, but then why have a suggestions fourm if they will not listen to any suggestions? The population of this site has aged and I feel that it’s mainly a site people 13+ into adults use since it has been around for so long. I did state in my original post that I understood that the admins are busy with their lives and I’m not asking for them to be completely devoted to the site, but to at least recognize and make an attempt to fix the issues. Especially with the security breaches that have been happening. I just don’t want to see this site die and every day more and more people quit."

I don't really understand how they differentiate hate speech/anti stuff, or what they consider hate speech
i don't even hate the site
i just hate how it's run ToT

if someone says they hate anime in their signature i'd bet no staff member would say a peep
but because my gif was related to the site, i guess it was taken on a personal level ?

Oh my gosh finially someone said it!! They had me take mine down a while back as well and I was thinking the exact same. I felt so singled out, like the post itself I got it from didn't get locked or taken down but I was spoken to in privte while it felt like tons of other poeple we're still allowed to have them.[/quote]

we could make stamps that link to this that says like "save cs <3" or smthn

I just wish there was more regulations for very important things such as trade demand. There's overtrade and then there's trading half your collection.

I feel like a rule in place to prevent mandatory 100-500 09' rare trades for one thing could make it more even. I'd even be okay with trading probably 10 or so really good old rares for something that to me is worth it but I can't imagine giving up every pet I worked to get just for 1 store pet that happened to gain a lot of popularity.

Even returning to the site is intimidating because of this and I find myself mostly here for events because the idea of trading for other pets I want is exhausting at the idea of how many are MA or Non only, and I never thought I had to stock up 10,000 rares for this just a few years before it started.

and i find it funny how we only want to help and they keep shutting us doen time and time again. if they listened to us the site could even be more profitable

No one is going to make a rule about having no petitions in your signature. This has been a common thing to do especially for threads in the suggestions tab. Its how the list got discontinued. A petition with the threat of action is the only way to go. For instance, a petition that says we want this and then when petition gets whatever amount of people, we will all start quitting or deleting pets or turn on adblock something like that

i mean they have made rules in the past about limiting stuff in your signature. i think it was limiting anything political in your signature? im not exactly sure as i don't remember the specifics . but it just goes to show it would be easy for them to do, and if they make the rule then they could easily just punish anyone who has it in their signature, and then less people see/hear about the issue.

I'm sorry this really jumped out to me as I've been lurking on this thread, that's not what hate speech is? Hate speech is not just hating something, it is targeting a specific group. That wording really annoys me personally with so much actual hatespeech for LGBT+ people, different religions, and POC, someone not liking a website/company and them calling it 'hate speech' is ridiculously uncalled for. It's not the end of the world but you should be expected to know those words when you're a mod.
♥ Have a great day! ♥

I mean... maybe they actually don't have the time or resources to implement suggestions at the moment? There *has* to be a suggestions area because otherwise suggestions will just end up scattered all over the website. People aren't going to just not make suggestions lol

What would recognizing and attempting to fix the issues look like to you?

I just wanna say I agree on this especially with the camping event! Newer pets look so clean and nice. The pets from the camping event have been amazing on top of already astounding. Every day I look forward to seeing what is out next because the quality of these pets and how they look seem like so much detail and attention and love was given to them (THIS ME SAYING PROMOTE/TIP ALL THE ARTISTS WHO HELPED WITH THE EVENT THEY EARNED ALL OF MY RESPECT). This isn't me saying older pets didn't have this, but the unique line design and quality has gone up A LOT. I understand if someone wants to pay 100,000 newer pets for an '09 pet, but I also get someone who isn't about that and would rather just keep those 100,000 pets to keep up to date as time continues.

yep yep, its seems that the people who grew up on this site/appriciate the pets side of it, have been joining the team more and more. each event the outdo themselves,
which makes me sad that their work is less valued than older pets, a rare should be a rare to matter the year, their work shouldn't be viewed or valued as lesser

They added a suggestions forum, they give us monthly updates, and more. The chicken smoothie admins are a lot more integrated into their playerbase than most adoptable pet websites. They keep us in the loop the best they can. This is a game. Everything here is pixel pets and items. What more are you wanting from them? I'm sorry that the trading economy sucks, but that's nearly ANY game you play. You arent entitled to get the pets you want. It took me almost 10 years to get the full set of Halloween pets, which was my biggest goal for a long time. Patience brothers.

nobody is saying they're entitled to pets, and everyone in this thread has already mentioned what we do get ^^

this doesn't mean we're out of line by asking for quality of life updates. you could def just chum it up to "it's just pixels" which is true but it's not like we're threatening them with any sort of means, we're just discussing improvements we wish the site would make

I wanna like. give you the benefit of the doubt and read your post in the best light possible & even give room to hear your thoughts on this but this bit makes that a little hard. telling people who are feeling let down or unheard about something they care about by calling them "entitled" is rarely anything but a shutdown. if you are trying to encourage people, please be kinder.
