Well, horses don't really sell her unless they have good skills. I learned that with Halo and Ricochet. If the horse is trained extensively, not many people would be interested.

If you want to make a new horse, be willing to commit to it. You might want to have a mare anyway

When you join, you can add a horse that you made. You get 4 credits every week.

Concerning skills:

you will see 6 skills labelled. Youa ssign them points, when you first start you have 30 points to spread around. The points determin how well a horse does in competitions so you can fit the skills around competitions. It's up to you.
