hi i come to ask questions again, how does buying gummies work exactly?? not having any luck w scavenging and i believe either yesterday or today was the last day of using my rented werm so i was just gonna buy gummies and get a coupon for a custom but i dont know if the accounts talked about on the shopping thread are required or if i can just buy the gummies??

also whats the consensus on worms who are based on non oc characters?? i want the werm to be just inspired by an existing character but not an outright copy obviously

Hi! Not a mod but read these rules: here
When you purchase gummies you need to wait for them to approve your post.
You trade with oblivion (the author of the thread). There is a page that says how many gummies each traded pet is worth. And message in the trade that it is for gummies. Then make your post on the thread with the link to that trade. Then you wait for their approval which will either be sent in the trade or by quoting your message in the thread.

When it comes to werms based on characters, I’m not exactly sure so a mod can answer that.

the only place you can get gummies in scavenging is the shopping district; "70% gummies (30-300)" so if you havent tried the shopping area yet, thatd be a good place to start! otherwise you can refer to this post here on how to buy gummies Forum/viewtopic.php?p=138774079#p138774079
alternatively you can offer items for gummies in trades or even sell things to moxie, who will give you gummies for items Forum/viewtopic.php?p=138774218#p138774218

in response to your last question, itd be best to not use a character as a baseline for what you want your werm to look like. if youre paying for a werm in any sense, whether it be art gummies scrap c$ cs pets usd etc, you cannot have a werm based on or a close copy of a copywritten character. if you use a color palette and some ideas without disclosing the inspiration, its more likely to be accepted

hi thank you both for your responses, unfortunately everything about the gummies arent a help as my question wasn't answered. i knew about the exchange thing with the pets, i was just confused because the thread mentioned there being accounts for the gummies (like gummy bank accounts) and i still dont know if i need one to buy gummies. i wasnt focused on scavenging for gummies, i was scavenging for wermz because i dont have one.

thank you for answering my question about the cbcs though, my idea was just to inspire the werm off of themes of the character (just the color palette being brown which is his hair color and a cowboy hat because he has a cowboy motif) so i dont know if thatd be alright since its not like the entire character??

You just need a co-op post and you just keep track of the gummies you purchase there.

And the character sounds like it should be alright. Problems arise when it is definitely a recognizable character (and plagiarizing comes in). Like if you were to have round Mickey Mouse ears and colors and similarities in the face and body… that is a problem. But most cowboys look so alike (especially if it’s based off a human form here) it doesn’t seem like it will cause any problems, I think you’re good.

This is where people put their werms and items and currency as a co-operative effort to archive everything so that the staff doesn’t have to keep track of EVERYTHING.

You can also put your werms and stuff in a separate storage space like in the forums or TH. But putting it in the co-op archive is usually required for most UMAs.
