I love these cats! They're supposed to be porcelain plates, right? They remind me of tea cups, they're so cute. I'm excited to get the rest of them!

I know and I just love loooove the deer this year like the ocean and space with cats surfing.

Ahh well, the event didn't start today. Definitely just a tad disappointed but really, it makes no difference to me when it starts, I'm going back to my 37 hours job this Monday. It was just a lot more likely it'd start this weekend rather than the next. At least time flies scarily fast, it'll be next Saturday in no time ^.^

2014 - july 25th
2015 - july 25th
2017 - july 22nd
2019 - july 27th
2020 - july 25th
2022 - july 23rd

They only start on Saturdays (very rarely on Fridays but that was mostly back in the day if I recall correctly). It was either today or it'll (most likely) start next Saturday. And it didn't start today so next weekend it is.
So yes, that is actually super late. Those dates is why I expected it to start today, next Saturday is July 29, the absolute latest the summer event has ever started.
Unless they break the Saturday tradition and start it tomorrow but I highly doubt that.

I think people are right to be disappointed about the summer event not starting today, especially when we don’t really know when it will start, so you assume it will start about the same time as last year and when it is delayed, it’s very disappointing People are disappointed but that is just because we are excited and looking forward to the summer event! It will start when it starts. The wait will be worth it.
(I too am disappointed and I really wanted to adopt pets on my birthday on the 28th, and I really thought it would happen, but now it probably won’t if the event doesn’t start until the 29th )

I feel this needs to be said, but some players must be patient for the event. I'm sure it's coming VERYY soon, but you guys can't be complaining about how late it is when it's usually like this.

I wasn't really expecting it to start this week, but I was hoping. It's okay, I have the same feeling as you. It's a nice break from work and now I have another week of work to get through before the event.

About the summer event, I might be the only person here who thinks this but i'm glad its a little late! I go on vacation for 3 days on the 23rd, so if the event starts on the 25th or later then I will have more time to participate since I'm not out having fun.
I'm so excited! I saw a lot of players requesting cryptids and camping on the dream summer event thread, I would personally prefer camping but cryptids sound so cool, I can't wait to see what this year's theme will be!

Please remember that the summer events don't have a definite starting date like Easter or our Advent calendar. Therefore it is not possible for it to be late, just lateR than the average. But so far it's always been around the end of July.
It takes as long as it does, because our team needs the time for drawing all pets/items, backgrounds, write the story and all dialogue, program it, dress up NPCs... and this year it just so happens to not start yesterday/today. ^^

Thanks for responding Raire! It's nice to be acknowledged, so I appreciate you! As for the summer event starting "late", I have a birthday party today and the zoo tomorrow. Doubt I would get to participate much unless it was the following Saturday start. I am looking forward to it when it comes c:

Edit: Also, looking at amaoretto's list, at least three summer events started the last Saturday on the month. If the 25th is a Saturday it can't come the next week as it would be August the following Saturday. It's looking like this event is joining the 25th starters as the last Saturday in July is all.
