4 questions - is joining discord optional (bc I don’t have discord), will the 1st cats (like risingstar) get updated linearts, and how will breeding work? Will there be cross-clan breedings allowed?

1.) Discord is optional! Updates are day-to-day posted on discord but it is completely up to you :>
2.) I'm in the process of updating all of the older lined cats to be on the newer lines, yes! It's just taking a little as I'm doing over revamps/additions to the arpg as well <3
3/4.) Breeding hasn't been introduced yet but once it does it's completely up to the user if they'd like to come to an agreement with cross-clan breeding (lore-wise the reasoning is up to you!)

About the Clan/Tribe:
This clan resides on the edge of a coastal town, surrounded by water and tall pines alike, with snow capped mountains making up the distance around them. Wildlife is plenty here, and often human hunters will travel into the territory during hunting season, but most tend to leave these cats alone. During fishing season, most of the humans are kind, some even willing to share their own fish with the clan cats.
Experiencing more of the colder seasons than the warmer, the cats have learned to adapt to their habitat, and are taught at a young age. Swimming lessons are a must, living off an old boat dock and abandoned boats and all, and are taught to climb the rocks that reside around the waters. While they may take caught food from humans too, they are still taught to be cautious and not to get too friendly. The most important things that are taught are about the predators that share their territory. Wolves, moose, badgers and hunting dogs just to name a few.
Being a new clan formed of cats from all sorts of backgrounds, they are not very strict about who stays or who goes, and tend to be a more passive group than other clans. Some cats may keep their former names, or choose to take on a clan name.

About the Tribe:
Synopsis

Edge of the Horizon is a pragmatic tribe that sees every day as a new start. They strive on exploration and adventure with a strict moral code which demands respect for their elders and encourages the sharing of knowledge and new ideas with all tribe members. They approach outsiders with a wary gaze that quickly fades at the idea of new stories to learn and cats to adventure with!

Territory

Edge of the Horizon resides on cliff faces along a mountainous region that overlooks a valley. During newleaf the cliff face is covered in greenery and hanging plants with mountain herbs in abundance collected both on top of the cliff and on the bottom near the forest's edge. Greenleaf brings warm winds and plenty of birds to catch, but Edge of the Horizon has a secondary camp on the upper parts of the mountain to shelter in when the rains start to flood the cliff face tunnels. Leaf-fall shows its fangs with prey becoming scarcer and thinner and more predators move down the mountain to find more prey. The crisp, cold, air brings the scent of snow and the leaves start to change colors and fall, becoming crunchy hindrances to hunting on the base of the cliff. There are a few herbs that thrive in the leaf-fall and leaf-bare seasons that keeps the herbalist confident in the tribe's survival. Leaf-bare is the coldest season, showering the cliff face in snow and slick ice, but brings all of the leaf-bare prey out of their burrows and into the hungry cats' clutches. During this time the tribe relies on the base of the cliff for finding prey and the eggs of nesting birds along the cliff ledges.

Cats

Horizon members tend to have thicker fur, both long and short, and gray or brown colored fur though white fur is welcome for leafbare hunting in the snow! These cats are very agile with strong paws to keep from falling and meeting their ancestors at the bottom of the cliffs.

Tribe Heirarchy and Naming System

The Horizon - the leader ✦ The Moon - the deputy/second in command ✦ The Herbalist - the medicine cat ✦ Shines - warriors and protectors of the tribe ✦ Shadows - hunters and caretakers of the tribe ✦ Glimmers - to-bes training to become either a Shine or Shadow ✦ Eclipses - queens with or expecting kits ✦ Sparks - kittens ✦ Novas - elders

Sparks and Glimmers have a single name given to them by their parents and they earn their full name from the ceremony that grants them their rank of Shine or Shadow. When Shines and Shadows retire to become Novas, they gain a new name that shows their bravery and loyalty to the tribe and this new name is well respected and received with pride.

About the Clan/Tribe: Stories of the silverpelt have existed in the clans since the very beginning, but for Wolfstar's case, so had stories of the moon. Once a cat of WolfClan passes on to silverpelt, they gained a gift from the moon: the ability to transform into powerful creatures of night. They would become wolves, coyotes, or even foxes, free to roam the night sky for eternity, stronger than they were when alive. But on one fateful day for the cats of StarClan, an evil creature had managed to sneak it's way in; a cat who would use their gift against the cats of StarClan. They attacked many spirits and killed them, never to be seen again. Once the cat had finally been banished to the Dark Forest, the cats of StarClan feared to use their powers, and from then on refused to allow new cats joining to know of their gift. Now, after all this time, the more powerful cats of StarClan have decided to, perhaps, let the spirits use their powers again, but only if they know their heart is pure and true and their intention are only good. Wolfmarsh was given a vision; she would become the leader of the Clan, and as StarClan hopes, be able to keep her clan safe from those who could one day betray them...

Once they are in starclan they can do whatever they wish as they won’t affect the clan in ARPG aside from lore reasons :)
