i've been on this site for years now, and because of this whole mess, i am now paranoid to even be on here. like a few others had stated, this site is very dated, and changes to make CS more secure needs to HAPPEN!

major support from me. I wish we were given more insight and a statement from the main staff. it's unnerving not hearing anything.

EXACTLY! I felt a mass email warning there was a security breach and they recommend updating password would be at least sent out by now or an announcement on the main page asking people to update their passwords. IDK it all seems weird to me that it isn't being talked about more by staff.

support, i also want to say a few years ago there was ANOTHER situation with accounts being hacked and if i recall it was said to be fixed, the issue that was allowing so many accounts to be compromised. but obviously thats not true or something else has been cracked into if this is happening again. i would have figured theyd have added 2fa the first time this happened because that likely would have nipped the issue completely. (though im not sure about the current situation, i know at least before the accounts being compromised were old and very inactive)

its also important to note that not only does the person getting hacked suffer losing their stuff & making a big job for the staff but then that user will likely be blamed for mass reversal issues & that is a whole other mess of harassment nobody needs to see.

i thought i had already posted here but i suppose not haha, but support! as long as you don't do what i did on discord and locked myself out of my account by forgetting the code and uninstalling the 2fa app when wanting to take a break from the app 😭

all jokes aside, 2fa would be one of the best courses of action for security on cs! hopefully it does end up being implemented with the amount of support that this idea has gotten!
