agreed, at the end of the day I dont think it matters if the people got their pets/items back from trade reversals. It will takes months upon months to get that cs debt off their shoulders and no casual player should have anything in the negatives whatsoever. It's ridiculous and somewhat cruel in my opinion. Just reset the c$ balances to zero, please. This is just punishing more people than helping.
only here for art and occasional casual trades idk

support !! Even though players technically got the worth of the c$ back in pets, it is not guaranteed they will get the amount of c$ back. Especially because buying pets for c$ isn’t incredibly popular within the trading economy as the influx of c$ worth keeps going down.

Also it’s not only traders who are c$ dept, it’s artists too ! Whom which don’t receive anything when the trade is reversed

this exactly. ^ im on chicken smoothie pretty much only for the art commissions and being an artist myself. i had a user request a commission for me, who then sent the payment, if it wasnt for my policy of waiting to accept the payment until the sketch is approved, i would of fallen in debt because of this. i was attempting to notify the customer regarding their commission and noticed their account was taken down for a bit stating "this user does not exist", if i did not feel suspicion from that and accepted the payment anyways, i would of been in debt. i also sadly wasted a chunk of my time working on their sketch, which roughly was a couple of hours. luckily i cancelled the trade immediately as i did not feel comfortable taking the payment or continuing further with the commission.

i support this forum, as this is a childrens game and c$ is a game currency you must use your own personal money towards to receive, it doesnt feel correct to put users who may have the availability to use their hard earned money towards a debt that wasnt meant to happen. or those who cant even afford paying their debts. it also can put a burden towards people who have worked hard to earn their c$, like artists or players who have traded their valuable pets for c$, which it takes a lot to get to the point to earn valuable pets. the hours, if not days it could take to get players out of the debts they have received doesnt make it worth getting out of. it does not feel fair or correct to make players suffer for a situation that could of been avoided if a better security system was in place.

Exactly. I'm an adult, yet I can't even afford to get out of C$ debt right now! I'd have to pay 15 real life dollars just to get even at this point.

I absolutely support, and agree with everything everyone has said. This absolutely needs to be fixed!!
I suggest restoring the original balance before the reversal. So if a user had C$100, instead of C$0, they have C$100 back.
The 'the person in debt has their original pets/items back so it's fine' excuse is NOT acceptable. The real life $$ equivalent of C$4000 is insane, especially in today's economy.

edit -

Because a user being in debt due to a circumstance that's not their own fault is fair /s
I do not mind/care at all if users in debt got this "unfair benefit", it's only right to fix this. Imagine not being able to buy anything from the store, pay for adopts, anything.. And selling those pets again would only slowly bring their debt to 0, so still losing out even more.

Yeah, instead of going to the negatives the rollback should cap at 0. While yeah, I don't think ppl should get both the c$ and the pet they sold, it's absurd (and honestly feels really dubious) to put people at negatives for A PREMIUM CURRENCY. They're essentially being locked out of using c$ altogether unless they either manage to trade from their own pocket to mitigate the loss or cough up more IRL money for CS.

massive support, not even sure why this needs a suggestion as it should be a given (punishing a playerbase for something not their fault is extremely unfair, ESPECIALLY when it comes to spending real life money.) not everybody has the funds to fix their c$ debt and not everybody has the time to sell pets/items/art to pay it back either. because you basically get nothing in return for selling those things when paying off debt anyways!

I’m late to the topic/not familiar with the issue and hoping you can add some clarity. Where is this extra C$ coming from initially? I guess I’d always assumed that C$ in the game was trustworthy and backed by the site.

TLDR; I think over 10 accounts have been hacked so far and were giving pets and C$ away. You'd recieve the c$ and then when you used it things would be fine, but hours later when a hack is reported the trade is reverse and the c$ is taken from you. Example: Someone gave me 25C$ for an adopt. I used the 25c$ and the rest of what was in my account to buy pets. The trade was reversed and I went negative balance as CS has taken the money back. I was lucky and got compensated while others are stuck with a negative balance and now OWE CS money
