⊛ Sanguinem Luna wolves are just your average Canis Lupus. However, thats not super fun.
⊛ I've personally never been a fan of creating community competition based on rarity, so please take the rarity levels with a grain of salt. All rarities can be equally as valuable, this is just for the sake of simplicity and to define the tiers of character traits.

Alpha Limited to 1 edit per wolf, unless the particular wolf is for a special event.
Extra eyes, Extra limbs, Extra heads, Feather growth, Gene Splicing, Botanical growth, Scales, Visible magical elements, Crystal growth, Wings, etc.

Beta Limited to 1-2 edits per wolf unless they also have an Alpha trait.
Horns, Height edits, Weight edits, Unnatural coloration, Unnatural markings

Subordinate Limited to 1-2 edits per wolf unless they also have a Beta trait.
Ear edits, Fur edits, Claws, Snout edits, Tail edits, Fang edits

Omega
Colorful eye color, Expression, Natural coloration, Natural markings

⊛ Invisible, story-based, or lore-based traits, such as magic, do not count as long as it is not visible on the reference or part of the wolf's trait list.
⊛ Alpha or Beta wolves are only available through special events or through the purchase of a custom through the shop.
⊛ Rarity does not determine status within your pack. They are simply names to define the tiered trait list, you can choose their role in your pack however you please and they do not have to fit within the construct that their tier name suggests.

[Mid-life]

⊛ Leveling is an essential function for growing your pack. At the start, without a founder, you are at Level 0. With each subsequent level, you are allowed 1 extra pack slot (i.e. at level 1, you are allowed 2 total wolves in your pack, at Level 2 you are allowed 3 total wolves in your pack, and so on).
⊛ Once you have a founder, you are at Level 1 and can now do tasks, usually in the form of an RP story or art development, which will increase your XP as indicated in the task information.
⊛ To increase your level, you need a total of 1000 XP .

⊛ To make tracking easier, you must submit a form to cash in your XP and level up. This makes it easier to track and archive. You must provide proof of the XP you have achieved. Without submitting this form, you are not allowed to reap the benefits of the additional level.
⊛ You may level up more than once in one submission, however, multiple forms must be filled out and staff will check to make sure you have not tried to double-claim XP .

Why is Grim important?
Grim is the mascot for Sanguinem Luna and so belongs to no one. Grim is important for individuals who are Level 1 or above that simply want to use Grim as a filler character for XP tasks. Anyone can use him for artwork, story building, or any other prompts involving this ARPG. This is especially helpful for pack-interaction-based prompts for individuals who are Level 1 that only have a founder, however, he can be used by anyone without penalty, as long as one of your other wolves is interacting with him in some way. You can not answer prompts using only Grim.

What personality should I give him?
Canonically, he is supposed to be a grumpy old-wolf character who aids your founder in developing their new pack, however, you do not need to stick to that and you may develop him as you choose to fit your story.

What gender is Grim?
You may choose what gender he is to fit your story, however, canonically he is male and will be referred to as male in any Sanguinem Luna post.

⊛ Tasks are important for collecting XP to level up your pack. For certain special tasks, you may even earn moon shards (currency) to use in the shop.
⊛ The amount of XP earned is indicated in the prompt. You may only do a task once, unless otherwise indicated
⊛ If there are multiple tasks available, please fill out your prompts in one post.
⊛ Tasks will update frequently to allow users to earn XP , and a post will be made when a new batch of tasks has been released.
⊛ Permanent tasks are special tasks that can be fulfilled multiple times based on the length of your prompt OR individually per pack member.
⊛ You may interpret the task prompts as you see fit to develop your character/s.

⊛ Exploring is important when establishing your pack. It could mean finding items, collecting XP , and even a chance to find a new wolf to join your pack.
⊛ Exploration forms can only be filled out every 48 hours, to prevent spamming, which will be monitored closely. In addition, results will be released daily by a staff member at 2 pm PST.
⊛ You can only explore if you are Level 1 or above.
⊛ XP and items received will be randomized to make it fair. A number will be rolled between 1 and 100. Here are details about the rolling process:

1-50: 100 XP
51-80: 150 XP
81-90: Omega Item or Omega Medalion.. 50/50 chance after roll, 1-50 is item, 51-100 is custom. If an item is chosen, it is at the discretion of the staff to choose which item.
91-95: Subordinate Item or Subordinate Medalion... 70/30 chance after roll, 1-70 is item, 71-100 is custom. If an item is chosen, it is at the discretion of the staff to choose which item.
96-98: Beta Item or Beta Medalion... 90/10 chance after roll, 1-90 is item, 91-100 is custom. If an item is chosen, it is at the discretion of the staff to choose which item.
99-100: Alpha Item or Alpha Medalion... 95/5 chance after roll, 1-95 is item, 96-100 is custom. If an item is chosen, it is at the discretion of the staff to choose which item.

⊛ Wolves will be made and given out in rare instances for exploring: 20% chance (rolled separately from items/XP) IF your pack has a free spot.
⊛ Any item recipients also recieve 50 XP

⊛ Founders are semi-customs, meaning you will provide the artist/s with an idea and design prompt and they will create a wolf for you to act as the first wolf in your pack.
⊛ Founders can only be requested ONCE per person. To qualify for a Founder, you must have never owned a Sanguinem Luna wolf and be Level 0.
⊛ You no longer qualify for a founder if you have sold or traded away all of your wolves. Your pack is now in limbo, however, you will continue to keep your levels. From that point, you can only rebuild your pack by trying out for Rogues.
⊛ If you don't want a founder, you can get a founder by trying out for Rogues, but you will not reap any XP benefits you earn through submitting for a founder. There are pros and cons for both options, so weigh your options carefully before deciding.
⊛ Founders can only be NATURAL and unedited. This means natural colors and patterns. No stars, hearts, etc. No red, pink, blue, etc. unless the color is associated with eye color.
⊛ Founder rarities are ONLY Omega.
⊛ Once you have submitted a Founder form, you cannot try out for any Rogues.
⊛ Keep in mind, the artist will use your inspiration/design prompt as INSPIRATION, it might not include everything you ask for, this is a free semi-custom, after all. You will have the ability to try out for Rogues in the future or earn wolves through other means.
⊛ By submitting a Founder form, you also get some starter XP !

⊛ Rogues are wolves who do not belong to any pack. You can recruit them by trying out for them, most will be FCFS to keep things easy, however, some will be raffles, writing prompts, art prompts, etc..
⊛ To make things fair for everyone, there is a 2-week cooldown for winning Rogues. If you try out for a Rogue and don't win, you can continue trying out, but if you win, you cannot try out for another one for 2 weeks.
⊛ Rogues will either be Omegas or Subordinates, very rarely will they be Betas or Alphas, unless they are released for an event.
⊛ Batches will be released in batches of 4-6.

Sanguinem Luna's currency are Moon Shards! You can collect moon shards by exploring or by converting C$. We will use C$ to improve Sanguinem Luna and 'tip' our staff members, so your conversions will be going to a good cause. In addition, you can use moon shards to buy items from our NPC, Loot.
