Counting sheep is a pastime of centuries old, ensuring the good night’s sleep of millions every year, and responsible for the temporary retirement of the real world’s burdens. You may have even found yourself counting these woollen friends when nothing else seems to put your busy mind to rest.
Unbeknownst to most, these little ruminants are bouncing around the dreamscape even while you’re in the midst of slumber, protecting pleasant dreams and outcasting (to the best of their ability) the nightmares that threaten the balance of their cloud lined haven. In all shapes, colours and sizes, these endearing caprines are really more than just a figment of our weary imagination - and with the ever growing need for these little helpers, it seems a few of these sheep may need a new cloud to sleep on!

Welcome to Sound Asheep!
Sound Asheep is a closed species of caprines known as Sleep Sheep, an exceptionally small ruminant that looks like your average sheep, if you discount the technicolor wool and the occasional set of wings. These oneironautic creatures are available to adopt here on this page, but please view the species notes and the rules before trying out for one of these almost imaginary friends.

Species Notes (06/16/2023)
✧ Sound Asheep is not for profit.These Sleep Sheep will be obtainable for free, this is a species for fun!
✧ Sleep Sheep cannot be sold for pets, C$ or other currency.The only way to obtain an already adopted Sleep Sheep is through trades, giveaways, or readoptions.
✧ There is no limit on the number of Sleep Sheep a person may own.However, some competitions may ask for entrants with less than a certain amount of sheep. Please adhere to these requests!
✧ All Sleep Sheep with nightcaps have been adopted.These nightcaps are unique to each Sleep Sheep, and some may be uniquely lined depending on the competition.
✧ Any and all suggestions for the species are welcomed!You can submit your ideas to us through our owner/mods’ pms, or in the Sound Asheep discord.
Rules (06/16/2023)
✧ Copying/tracing/claiming the species will result in a ban.You may make your own sheep species, but do not associate them with Sound Asheep/Sleep Sheep.
✧ Please don’t minimod.We understand you may be trying to help us, but our mods are happy to handle any situations that may arise surrounding the species.
✧ You may not make your own Sleep Sheep without permission.Only official artists are able to make Sleep Sheep, and any MYOs have to be staff approved before becoming official Sound Asheep adopts.
✧ You may not alter the design of your Sleep Sheep without permission.Any edits done to the design of your Sleep Sheep will require an item, and have to be approved by staff first!
✧ Artist Entries cannot be adopted.The Artist Entry lines are to be used strictly for trying out as an artist for Sound Asheep. Attempting to claim/adopt out any entries may result in a strike. The only exception to this is if an entry is agreed to be used as a custom. (More details in Artist Entry rules).
✧ Toxic behaviour is not permitted.Any harassment, rudeness, or generally toxic behaviour may result in a strike. This includes guilt-tripping artists, complaining about competitions in the Discord, harassing artists to judge competitions, etc.
✧ Three strikes will result in a ban from Sound Asheep.Banned users will not be able to participate in Sound Asheep competitions and events, or interact in the Sound Asheep Discord. They are unable to trade for other Sleep Sheep, and may not own more Sleep Sheep than they already own.
