Participating in the Nursery

1. Chicoons are an LGBT+ safe area, homophobia of any level will not be tolerated.
   
2. A chicoon can breed up to 6 times (named; parent breeding slots)
   
3. Up to three chicoons can participate in one breeding ticket- the breeding will consume 1 breeding slot from every parent.
4. Chicoon Whelps can be grown 2 weeks after the finished whelps have been revealed by the artist.
5. Chicoon transfers (growths) can be done by anyone (chicoon staff or not) and can be offered in exchange for payment, trade, or free. there is no limit on price or type of currency.
6. There is no anatomical differences between parent chicoon, expressive gender doesn't change if a breeding can occur.
7. Chicoons can have up to 5 whelps; four grow-able chicoons, and one chicoon with the PPS Event Trait
8. PPS (Peter Pan Syndrome) prevents a chicoon from being able to grow up. Chicoons with PPS cannot participate in the nursery.
9. PPS Chicoons have a 1:25 chance to be generated, however, also have an increased chance of rare traits!
10. Every 50 Nursery batches an "orphan" milestone competition will be held. This chicoon has a higher chance of being pps.

Nursery Rules

1. Chicoons being bred together cannot be related to any extent. If, by mistake, this rule is broken; the children will become unusable in the species. The designs will not be allowed to be used outside of the species, but the chicoons will not be able to be used as chicoons in the species either.
2. Artists can offer breedings for any amount of currency or payment. Artists are required to do 2 free breedings before selling nursery slots.
3. Mutations, specific traits, or the number of kits cannot be requested (without an item), artists are to follow the program that rolls the traits (including mutations)
4. Users can only enter every other free breeding slot. if you've participated in one; you must wait until after the next slot opens to participate in another breeding. This holds true for posting the form AND having someone else post the form for you.
5. The ownership of a chicoon cannot be transferred via sale, trade, or gift if a chicoon has a breeding pending.
6. If for some reason the users participating in a breeding can no longer pay for the ticket slot, but the breeding has been finished; the breeding will remain covered and pending, the breeding slots from the parents will be consumed, and the participants of the breeding are blocklisted from using the nursery until the payment is received. (trading this chicoons will not be allowed as they have a pending breeding)
7. Chicoons with inaccurate, or V2-named traits lists will not be permitted to breed. (Examples of V2-named traits: "minor fur edits" "nose edit" "Other mouth edits")
8. The nursery ticket form must be accurately filled out.
9. companions do not pass down in breedings, nursery batches do not receive companions.
10. a breeding can be nulled/voided by a moderator by staff request.
A Chicoon cannot breed if...

• The Chicoon has not been grown or transferred off of a nursery lineart.
• The Chicoon has the PPS trait
• The chicoon does not follow the "Chicoons & Licensed Character Inspiration" guidelines.
• The Chicoon has not been approved or has a pending form on an archive thread. (including chicoon trades, sales, or item application forms!)
• The Chicoon has a pending breeding, or has had a breeding revealed within the past 2 weeks.
• The chicoons has a lineart base smaller than 240x240 pixels. (a chicoon with moderate edits or complex designs may need a larger reference, it is up to the artist who is accepting the ticket to decide.)
• The chicoon has an obstructed reference (IE the chicoon reference given has accessories or clothing that block the markings. they will need to be removed for the nursery ticket.)
• The chicoon has participated in 6 other breedings.
• The chicoon has an inaccurate traits list, or still has V2-named traits (Examples of V2-named traits: "minor fur edits" "nose edit" "Other mouth edits")
Nursery Artist Payment

1. Nursery Artists are required to make 2 free nursery batches every month.
2. Nursery Artists must create their free breedings before creating paid adopts
3. Nursery Artists receive x1 Staff Sticker after making their 2 minimum free nursery batches.
4. "Artists" and "Nursery artists" are treated as separate roles but paid the same. a user who is both Artist and Nursery Artist can earn twice the payment, however is still expected to do both positions' minimum adopt counts individually. (Min 2 artist adopts as well as Min 2 nursery sheets)
5. Artists who are not also labeled as "nursery artists" are welcome to open nursery slots, however no staff-based payments will be earned without the additional title role "Nursery Artist" the same goes for the opposite.
6. Artists can opt in or out of the "Nursery Artist" position at any time, or swap to being solely "Nursery Artist." The same can be said for nursery artists. Please discuss changes in staff positions with Buzz.
7. If an artist member makes 15 chicoons for free during a month they may request 2 items from the store, whether these free chicoon were via nursery batches OR main adopts. Nursery and main adopts are counted separately.
8. Users with the "Nursery Artist" Role can claim 10 chicoins every 4 weeks in the discord (manually; through the /collect-income command)
9. Artists or Nursery Artists may sell chicoons or nursery slots for Chicoins, these are considered "paid chicoons/slots" and do not count towards their monthly minimum.

What should i have in my Nusery Ticket Form?

These are included in the Nursery form so they're pretty hard to forget about!

• Your Username & User ID
  
• The Username & ID of anyone involved in the nursery breeding
  
• The original link to your chicoon
  
• The Archive ID to your chicoon
• A traits list that matches the V3 traits
• A link to your V3 traits being approved
• A screenshot of the users involved in the breeding giving you permission to use their chicoon(s)

These are not included in the nursery form but may be required depending on the chicoon you want to breed.

• A link to the chicoons transfer/growth reference & a link to the transfer/growth archive approval post
• If a chicoon was traded to you & its not logged as yours in the archive yet, link to your archive trade post & the approval of the form.
• If a chicoon is a myo or custom & is not in the archive, link to the approval post of your chicoon
• A link to a chicoons revamp & the approval post (if it has one)

Linking to these things will give the artist the most updated version of the chicoon you'd like to use as well as prove the chicoon is owned by you!

Have you read the rules and are ready to start using the nursery?

If the answer is yes, great!
You'll need to wait until an artist has slots open; when an artist opens nursery slots, you can get notified the fastest through our discord, but the artist should also make a post here explaining how many slots they're opening, and any additional details that may be important to know for the nursery slots (IE if the slots are FCFS, if the artist is looking for simple breeding tickets, etc)

Even if there are no slots available, saving the information that is needed to
fill out the nursery form is definitely recommended!
Saving the hex codes, traits list, and archive ID of your chicoon will make filling
out the nursery form much easier and may give you a head-start when filling out
the form the next time an artist opens a nursery slot!

you are guaranteed (at least) as many eggs as there are users participating in the breeding!

After an artist opens a slot, you can post a filled-out nursery form! (the [code] found here!)
be sure to fill out the form entirely, any mistakes may get your form denied (that includes including the wrong traits list!)
